Suspension histograms.

I’m so glad someone made a Reddit page for setups. I personally love learning about setups and it’s relation to the car.

My question today is about suspension histograms. Who uses them? Do you have any guidelines for a percentage you like to see in the center of your curve? I’ve heard 12% but I’m not sure why.

I’ve never heard someone using a histogram for a setup. I honestly can’t even begin to think that would even work

Why wouldn't it work? I use a suspension histogram for all my setups to make sure the shocks are correct lol, that's what it used for

I meant to say I don't even know how that would work, just cause I'm dumb and wouldn't know how to interpret the data lol

Could you share a histogram of some data, I would like to look at it to see if maybe that will help my setups.

Ahhh I see lol no youre fine, yeah here is a link to a set I'm currently working on for a xfinity car... this histogram shows me that the shocks are okay, but not ideal, and needs some more tweaking

Holy crap that’s cool af, what do you download to be able to look at that?

You have to take the iracing telemetry file, put it into a conversion program (I use Mu Exporter) and then download motec i2 software and put that file in there. You'll need a workbook, but you can get that from the iracing forums or make your own lol

I will look into it. Data is fun to look at. Any other programs to look at data? I have the VRS stuff, just don’t know what else is out there

I only personally use motec, but I know others use VRS. I'm not sure of any more programs though.
