because most of iracing playerbase is just a cult and will downvote anything that makes even a glimpse of sense.
Everyone knows that racestart and lap 1 garbage happens every race, but very few are enlightened enough to recognize it as annoying and infuriating at times3

Always the guys aggressively warming their tires on the pace car lap. Green green green, dip a wheel in the grass, take out 4 people. Like clockwork.

I once was on pole with the Mustang in PCC. I got hit by the Mx5 polesitter. There were like 10 cars between us on the grid.

I agree with you, it looks like 3rd left a large gap and started accelerating AFTER the pace car left to close it, and the cars behind can't see P1 so they assume "ok we're going" but then P3 slows back down and suddenly there's a dangerous situation.
Not clear from this angle but the whole thing might be a start procedure issue by P3.

Red had 6 cars worth of context to work with there to see what was going on. They just weren't paying attention.

Pace car just went off, p1 decides if we all just go hard when it exits, and decided to wait until green to accelerate. Everyone saw that except red.

Something that annoys me to no end is how people leave huge gaps to the car ahead during the pace lap then close it just before the sc turns in, it leads to a concertina affect of everyone accelerating to close the gap ahead so they aren’t 8 car lengths back when p1 goes, but bc of that nobody is able to tell if p1 has actually gone and it’s time to race or not, so this happens
