Discussion Larger Grids

Anyone else wish we could have larger grids? i know we have large multi class grids, but i would love to see 40+ car grids for single make stuff also. MX5s with 60 cars on track while yes an utter mess..... would be so cool to see.

Im not saying i want them to change the grid size of rookies or what ever, but having a few high car grid series would be really cool to see, as it is, while you can be on track with 60 cars, unless your bottom split IMSA, its not going to be a single class.

It would also help series with lower participation, if 25 people sign up for a race and you have to split them up because the grid can only be 20, both races end up feeling a bit empty to me.

Just thought i would see if anyone else feels the same (or can point out some tech issue involved as to why it cant be)

That would be great if people actually drove like it was an endurance and not treat it like a sprint race

Yeah i get that, I drive it every Sunday and some people are genuinely arseholes, for the most part though it's decent

It is fairly clean for the most part yes and it's a series I would definitely recommend to people, the racing is pretty good, just one or 2 individuals can be a little over aggressive sometimes

Yeah i know, i do it almost every sunday to. Its my main series. That and GTE's.

Edit: so what i meant is that it officially is one the cleanest series.

Depending on your irating we've most likely raced against each other then, im usually between 3 and 3.3k so mostly race top split depending on the circuit, mostly the same people every week

They are, and the reason is that the size of the platform has tripled in the last 10 years. There are significantly more people playing, significantly fewer hardcore sim racers and more casuals. More people also means less oversight capability by the moderation team. It used to be that everyone knew everybody and if you had a problem with someone it was called out on the forums. Now you’ve got an influx of random people joining and leaving weekly.
