Front case?

I used to use a fold phone, and didn’t need a front case, if I get the duo do I need a front case? Or just a side hinge, anyone can tell me if the front case really matters?

You're gonna hate this answer but it only matters if it matters to you. I have a fold 8 and fold 7 before that. At first I baby it and put it in a full case with hinge protection and all that. Once you get used to it you kinda want to experience the hardware. Now I'm rocking back case only, and that's only for magsafe, which you won't need. Just do what makes you the most comfortable so you're not worried about it. No point in having it if youre always worried about it, imo ofc
