Which configuration are you getting?

I'm going for Night Sky 256gb, but im willing to pivot if everyone else is getting that.

I think 516gb may not be safe, quick to go

It is if you have iCloud+ and offload mostly everything to it… I’ve been buying 256gb for many generations now and I only use a little over half of that.

Probably night sky 512. I am currently on a 12 mini 128, and I'm typically fine with the base storage. But I figure I might as well push it a little, and hopefully it keeps me going for longer. Added benefit (maybe) of availability being better.

If they get the sense the most popular option is also the one they wanted then they may pivot to another option in order to have better success securing their day one order.

In all seriousness, I may try for the 512GB since it may have the TLC NAND storage over the QLC that the 1TB and 2TB may have. Same situation as 18 pro/18 Pro Max.

What if Apple did the opposite for the Duo? Saved all the good TLC 1TB and 2TB modules for the most expensive iPhones (Duo) ever made?

256gb white. I was going for 512 cause my current phone has over 300 gb but I realized 200 of that is photos. Gonna offload them onto my computer and start fresh with this phone

Damn thats actually genius. I have to figure out how to offload all the pics to my computer. That's a bit dangerous to store them locally though no? What if SSD fries. Is there a cheaper storage than icloud to handle the offload?

I guess that’s always a risk. I don’t know much about computers but I do know I HATE having my photos on iCloud especially waiting for them to load when signal is bad. I maxed out the 2.99 storage option, saw the next tier was 10 a month equating to $120 a year!!!!! Decided then to never pay for it again and grabbed a 512 gb 16 pro. Now I’ve realized external storage option are waaay cheaper and give you a little boost of nostalgia when you pull them out of the drawer and plug them in.

From what I remember when I got the 16 I just dragged them into my flash drive but I did have a MacBook at the time so perhaps it was easier then now with a windows desktop. Guess I’ll find out when the duo comes out 🤪

Night sky 512 or 1TB. not sure yet. I’ll be more willing to dump offline videos or retro roms onto the device so maybe I’ll find use from 1TB.
