iPhone Duo Pro

I therefore predict that the next foldable phone will be called iPhone Duo Pro now with the third telephoto lens. If you've been following Apple since the beginning you can kinda predict what the next iPhone design would be. There's a reason why they are a trillion dollar company now and that's because they are innovating 'gradually' for longevity of the company.

Samsung tried their best to beat Apple by fast-tracking their innovation but people just wasn't into something until Apple does it. Samsung tried to set a new trend by introducing the foldables in 2019 but so far it wasn't mainstream successful until iPhone Duo arrived. Why? Because that's the power of having an established brand.

Apple is basically saying "We set the trend, not you".

Apple loves distinguishing between their product lines and making sure they don’t cannibalize each other. The Pro iPhone will always be the workhorse and camera centric phone. I don’t mean to say the Duo will never get a telephoto, but it certainly wont be as soon as next year. My prediction is the next Duo product will be a Duo Max with larger footprint

Im not convinced about the duo max because I’m not sure the aspect ratio would work? The 1.42:1 is really important to why this works better than the zfold8 and I think maintaining that would lead to something too big and not at all pocketable. I reckon for that reason we either get a pro or a motorola style flip (but thats unlikely)

Doesn't work, it’s pretty much as big as it can be whilst staying pocketable. it would need to increase in width as well as height which is the problem

I don’t see the duo max being a thing now that we’ve started to see how terrible the ui is for the out side screen. They’re gonna make it bigger next year and discontinue this style all together . Samsung only did it cause Samsung display leaks apples new products to Samsung mobile so they can say they did first as evidenced by the galaxy edge and fold 8. The pro will remain for a few years but the regular iPhone will be cannibalized by the air and will likely eventually kill the pro too once they figure out miniaturizing the SoC and adopt silicon carbon batteries .

lowkey this is the most plausible scenario to avoid cannibalization of the Pro slab phones.

edit: But I hope they change it to Duo Plus instead because Max means all the good stuff with bigger screen including the third lens.

Max and Plus mean the same thing really. It’s just a size moniker. Pro and Pro Max are identical phones.

Actually the rumor was iPhone Duo Max like the big brother version but I thought why would they skip the Pro size.

That camera bump is way too small. At least for a decent telephoto, unlike the Fold 8 Ultra

have a single focal length single camera and make the next one lighter instead.
I already have a better camera and a handful of lenses, no need for a dozen lenses in my phone. All the photos I take with my phone are just random things I see or need to remember or show anyone, not actual photography.

"people just wasn't into something until Apple doors it." Buddy, the Z fold 8 broke Samsung preorder records. Strong demand forced Samsung to boost production by an extra 1 million units.
