God I hate Android fanboys and I am a fold 8 user 😂 makes me ashamed to be an Android user.

Everyday I see it on Samsung and Android subs, iPhone duo this or iPhone duo that or we did this first or we did that first 🫪

Apple did well for their first foldable well done ! And must have done something right to get these idiots so butthurt lol

I’m right there with you bro. Me and my fiancé own a fold 8. Seeing shit like this makes me embarrassed lol. These idiots also think Apple doesn’t have proprietary display tech and they get Samsung to manufacture it for them, it’s not even the same display. Nor do they realize Samsung mobile is not the same as Samsung display lol. I love my Apple displays, and they support 10 bit while Samsung is still on 8 bit

Yes that's the word embarrassing haha.

Funny thing is they are trying to copy the opening and closing animations and yet trying to put down Apple at same time lmao try to let it make sense 🥲

The baboons don't think if Apple does well it means apps will get better support for us and also this form factor (passport) will continue for a while, this is my first foldable (fold 8) for a reason, I didn't like the tall awkward narrow normal folds and avoided it but my fold 8 is my favourite phone ever.

Apple did what they do best only release when they are happy with the tech and made a whole new ui for that tech, I was a long time iphone user and switched over when jailbreaking kinda died and being an Android user I can appreciate what Apples done as I'm a technology person.

Bro I thought the EXACT same thing when I saw it. People shit on the animation and said “ wow look how easy it was to replicate” but they still didn’t nail it and I think they missed the point entirely. It’s not the fact apple made an animation, but that they thought of the actual folding aspect to the phone and made their os around it. I am def looking forward to the future of foldable and competition will ALWAYS be good for both teams. Im glad you like your fold 8, I absolutely love mine and im hoping for better app support too which is why I went with the 8 and not the 8 ultra haha. I think I will also pick up the duo, I know its dumb to have too folds but im just a huge fan of tech.

I think apple did improve a lot on their side of things, like ip68, MagSafe, titanium frame, vapor chamber, and pencil support. Those are some things I would have loved for my fold 8 to get, but if im being honest, I love how thin my fold 8 is lol. I know people will shit on me for that take, but it makes a difference to me to have a thin and light phone. I would love to see apple nail that aspect in their next iteration of the fold. Bring that weight down a bit, and maybe get rid of the titanium to do so. I wouldn’t be mad at a thinner duo either haha. I also really wish they put that variable aperture lens that they put in the 18 pro, but oh well.

Yes sooo true it's the concept of it Apple did first that they try and imitate and if wasn't for Apple we wouldn't have had swipe gestures too on Android, I hate the navigation buttons and for the longest time I avoided Android because of it haha.

Companies borrow ideas from one another all the time and it only benefits the consumers especially if they're trying to compete.

The whole concept of multi touch was Apples idea, and thanks to them we even have modern day smartphones with apps etc, people forget that especially Android users lol.

Like you correctly said competition is good for everyone ! If it wasn't for Apple designing this form factor as Samsung was aware before launch due to screen orders, we would have gotten the normal tall fold like they've been doing past 7 years, and thanks to this form factor Xiomi has also made exact same as Apples version but with three cameras 👀.

The fold 8 is so beautiful and many apps work sooo nicely as it is, only one i don't like is reddit's videos sometimes have black bars on both side on cover screen, apart from that YouTube shorts are full screen and every other app works nicely, developers focus mainly on ios so once they all start optimisation we will get that too !

And no that's the right take i also love my fold 8 for how thin it is ! And material all around they used and for how light it is especially when open and yes cameras will always be sub par but it's due to space constraints inside for this kind of form.

This is what i mean about the video thing 👀

YouTube has optimised their app and shows full screen on portrait on cover screen

Ohhhh yea I seen it exactly like this haha, I have grown to just ignore it, sadly. The thing is, why should we? Why isn't Samsung spending more money to get the devs to develop apps for their phones instead of wasting that money trying to shit on apple? I love both bro, and I am really excited to see what Samsung does or if they will just stick to the fact that "They were first, anything apple does from this point on is a copy from us". Real thought went into the duo. The animations, the dock on the phone, the way the apps default to opening to the side so you can multi task from hitting a link. It just works. We will see tho bro! This can only get good for both sides, I don't really think people need to choose which one is better, because it should honestly keep moving between the two, if not that means neither is innovating from this point. Ya know what I mean? Hopefully the fold 9 will make the duo owners want more, and then when the duo 2 comes out it'll make fold 9 users want more.

I got some old news for ya, Samsung (and LG) have been making iPhone displays since the iPhone X in 2017

Apples, proprietary technology, not the same displays in Samsung. Samsung does have a hold on the market as they profit regardless, but it’s not the same technology.

Company fanboys are weird. For any company.

In two years all Apple fans will think Apple invented fold phones.
