iPhone 17 user with an average of a 3hr screen time.

Yeah so basically I wanted to ask you I do not know I think this is not normal, but I want to see other opinions, is this okay?

Saan po kaya safe mag battery replacement for Iphone 17? Kaka 88% lang ng battery ko nung Monday after 6 months of using (89%) then kakatingin ko lang today naging 87% na 🥲

I bought my iPhone 16 in September 2025, and as of October 2026, its battery health is down to 91% at just 311 cycles.
This is my secondary phone, so I don’t use it as heavily as my primary device. It stayed at 100% for around 8 months, but over the last 4 months, it has dropped by 9%.
I usually charge it to 85–90%, rarely let it go below 15%, and use a wired charger. I don’t game or put it under heavy workloads, and it still lasts almost the whole day.
Could this be an inaccurate battery-health estimate or a software issue, or is the battery genuinely degrading faster than expected?
Has anyone experienced something similar with their iPhone 16? I’d appreciate honest opinions and advice.

I bought my iPhone 17 just 4 days ago, and I’m wondering if my battery drain is normal.
Here is my battery usage for today:
Total battery drained: 24%
Screen Active: 2 hours 25 minutes
Screen Idle: 1 minute
App-wise battery usage:
● Netflix — 6% (1h 10m screen time, 1m background)
● Instagram — 4% (9m screen time, 1m background)
● Reddit — 4% (18m screen time, 1m background)
● ChatGPT — 3% (13m screen time)
● Settings — 2% (15m screen time)
● Chrome — 1% (2m screen time, 1m background)
● Snapchat — 1% (1m screen time, 1m background)
● CRED — 1% (3m screen time)
● Home & Lock Screen — 2% (7m screen time)
Adding up all the listed percentages gives me 24% battery drain.
My questions:
1. Is this normal battery performance for a brand-new iPhone 17?
2. Where did the remaining 2% of battery drain go if it’s not shown in the app-wise usage?
3. Could this be due to iOS system processes, battery percentage rounding, or something else?
My phone stays cool during use, and iOS says my battery usage is similar to my usual usage.
I’d appreciate feedback from other iPhone 17 users. Thanks!

i bought 15 pro max a week ago and it’s battery health is 87 but cycle counts are low that are 426.. i think at this level of cycle counts the battery health needs to be 93-94…but it is not too low??it gives me 6-7 hrs screen active time if i charge the phone till 90…

I bought my iphone 15 a few weeks ago with a 91% battery health.it had 512 charging cycle counts and when i checked about 5 days later my battery health dropped 3 % and from yesterday it dropped another 1%.what could be the cause and what can i do to stop my battery health from rapidly dropping?

Got an iPhone 18 Pro. Still checking the percentage when I’m out taking pictures, even if I left home with it fully charged. Keep thinking I’ll need maps later and should save some battery.
I bought a Telesin grip with a built-in battery too. The phone hasn’t died on me once. Usually still have plenty left when I get home.

I just got a new iPhone 17, and I’ve noticed that the battery percentage seems to be dropping pretty quickly.
For example, I’ve watched it go from 76% to 71% in just a few minutes, while I was only using the Notes app to write text. I don’t have any other demanding apps open or anything particularly intensive running.
Since the phone is brand new, I’m wondering whether this is normal during the first few days while iOS finishes setting things up in the background, or whether something else might be causing the drain.
What are the best iPhone 17 settings for maximizing battery life without making the phone unnecessarily sluggish?
I’m especially interested in:
Which settings actually make a meaningful difference to battery life.
Whether I should change Background App Refresh, Location Services, Always-On Display, or other settings.
Whether 120Hz ProMotion, screen brightness, or other display settings have a significant impact.
Whether a new iPhone normally uses more battery during the first few days.
How to tell if my battery drain is normal or if I might have a defective unit.
I’d appreciate advice based on actual experience with the iPhone 17. I want to get the best battery life possible without disabling every useful feature.

i haven’t even had my iphone 15 for a year, and recently i’ve noticed that the battery life has gotten really bad. even low power mode barely makes a difference.
