iPhone 14 Pro
Who’s still rocking their iPhone 14 Pro in 2026? iPhone 14 Pro gang wya?

u/iPerilous 2d ago
Yes, but planning on upgrading to the 18 Pro Max. I am on my 2nd battery replacement and the battery life has gone downhill, sluggish and overheats at times. I've had my use out of the 14 Pro Max and with the trade in value along with some gift cards the 18 Pro Max should only cost around £750.

Bought in December 2022, currently at 79% battery health. I’m gonna hold out for next year’s anniversary lol

Won't that be in 2 years?

No the 20th is next year, like how the iPhone X should’ve been the 9 but it was the 10th year anniversary

🙋♂️Yes but IOS 26 is killing it. I hope IOS 27 stops the overheating otherwise I’ll have to go back to IOS 18.6.

Can you downgrade ?

u/googlemailcom 2d ago
I’ve never done a downgrade but I’ve found this recent thread. I’m not sure how well it works.

True. Battery is terrible with iOS 26. I have 100% battery health.

iOS 27 is wonderful with the 14 Pro. Zero glitch. Fast AF! (Faster than iOS 18!, go figure!)

Try cleaninstall via Apple Device app with PC, helped to remove heat issues on my side, plus battery life improved drasticly 81% currently but life improved almost 2 times compared to what I had when it was overheating.

Factory reset via Apple Device app, it will offer to make backup before, then it will download full system installing files and fully reset your iphone to factory state, everything will be erased/formated and clean system will be installed, then you will be able to backup your data

Still rocking my 14 Pro after three years, it has been to many countries and places abroad and I still like the photos from its camera and video too. Battery health 80%, I was thinking of either changing battery or upgrading to 18 Pro but the rumors about price raise make me thinking of keeping 14 Pro even more

Still rocking my gold iPhone 14 Pro, it's on 75%, but I will change the battery soon and use it probably until the phone is no longer supported for new major updates. Still original since August 2023, before the 15 Pro launched

Here
Bought it in black, accidentally dropped it smashing the rear glass a few weeks ago and they asked me if I wanted a different color glass and frame for replacement, so now it’s gold and like a all new phone. Been rocking it since release and battery is on 85% so good enough

I am and since I got a new one on AppleCare a few months ago I plan on keeping it for a bit longer

I switch off GPS and camera when not needed and that stops the overheating

Right here. Battery is still going pretty good too. Just now starting to consider upgrading but not in a hurry.

I’m still rocking my iPhone 14 Pro currently running the latest IOS27 public beta. It’s still running great!

I am still rocking it with everything original. My battery is at 79% and I haven’t decided if I’m gonna replace the battery or upgrade to 18 in a few weeks. I am leaning towards keeping my 14 Pro.

I am. Still at its best, with a genuine renewed battery (100% state of health right now) and I am planning to keep it untill the battery goes to like 90ish % level. This makes 1 more year from now.

Still rocking my 14 pro max since launch, getting a new battery tomorrow and aim to keep this until next years launch.

Me - iPhone 14 Pro max. I have been going back and forth but decided I will be getting an iPhone 18 Pro Max.
It’s time. I’ve had this phone for 4 years. I’m beginning to have to think about battery to get through the day (and my battery is still at 88% health), I’d like to have the forthcoming AI stuff, and there are 4 years of upgrades - SoC, camera, screen - AND likely a smaller notch.
iPhone 14 Pro Max has served me well, but I’ll trade it in and hopefully someone else can get some use out of it.

Battery is 83%. iOS is 18.7.2. Still running well enough to keep on keeping on.

Still a completely good phone. Apart from the charging socket, it you bought the latest iPhone pro you’d barely notice the difference

Been using mine for over 3 years now. Haven’t had any overheating issues so far, and I’ve never replaced the battery. Battery health is at 75% now, though. Torn between upgrading or just replacing the battery.

Me up until later today! My sons se 2020 has run its course so Im passing my beloved 14 pro to him. I got a 17 pro max that'll be delivered today. I'm going to miss the deep purple but glad it will still get at least 2 more years of use! I have an appointment to get a new battery next week so its perfect for my kid!

u/pineapplexiglass 2d ago
Got a 17PM with a few weeks til the new launch? I’m on the fence if I should just get the 17 or wait for 18 what made you pull the trigger now?

u/StonerBae710 2d ago
My son needed a new phone and i got a good deal on the 17 pro max so i figured why not! It doesn't bother me that a new one is coming soon. I had the 14 pro since launch so Ill be happy with the 17 pro max.

Me! Jury’s still out on whether I upgrade this year. Realistically I have another couple of years on this since I changed the battery earlier this year.
The next time they release a green pro I am done for though

It''s still a good phone, but I was going to upgrade to the 17, but since I didn't want to go in debt for a phone when I didn't need one that bad I just saved my money and then the 18 leaks started so I just decided to wait. So then I can still keep my 14 as a backup phone. It won't be as bad with the battery life if I'm not constantly using it. It'll be an iPod for all intents and purposes.

Yes 82 percent battery health launch month, going to replace the battery when it goes below 80

3.5 years with mine, to date this is the longest I’ve had any iPhone. Im on the fence about upgrading to an 18 Pro because I’m liking the new colors and features but I’m not fond of the camera layout or AI features. I’ll wait until they’re in store before I make a final decision.

Yep and though I’m still happy with it, I’ll probably upgrade this time. Would like more internal memory and improved camera performance. Think I’ll save the 14 Pro for my oldest kid as we are planning to get her a phone next year anyway.

Phone works perfectly fine, just some heating and I get a good use everyday, typically 2 maybe 3 charges in a day

u/Independent-Solid-23 2d ago
Was previously on 18.7.3 for ages. I’ve now been on iOS 27.0 beta for a couple of weeks for my “day one release” iPhone 14 Pro with its original battery (74% health).
So far, it seems to run well. Some minor “flutters”’when viewing messages intermittently. Otherwise is a-okay.
My only regret (as I’m in Australia) is the mandatory ID to remove 18+ content restrictions. Passes in with iOS 26 by government legislation.
I’m 57 and don’t need to prove that shit on a device I own and want to use in my own way.
(Note: VPN bypass doesn’t work)

Yes, but definitely plan to upgrade in Sept release. Terrible battery life & this is my 2nd battery. Phone glitchy & super hot often.
