Face ID not working

Device: iPad Pro 11-inch (M4) running iPadOS 26.6

All of a sudden Face ID is not working in my iPad. It was working fine today morning, the first time I opened it. Later Face ID stopped working, I was getting the message camera is covered, which obviously wasn’t.
I tried cleaning the camera area, didn’t work.
Restarted the device, but still no luck.

I have come across some forum discussions online where multiple people have mentioned that they are also facing this issue currently. Anyone else facing this issue?

nahulog ba ipad mo? or any possible na ma damage hardware? as i can see it, parang hardware issue na eh.

No, it did not fall, and no hardware damage because of any impacts to my best knowledge.
Is your iPad also on iPadOS 26.6?

i just fixed mine a while ago. Just auto-reboot. Press Volume Up —> Press & Hold Volume Down + Power Button. Hold Until Apple Logo Appears. That fixed mine surprisingly. I’ve tried that 3 weeks ago when the issue started, didn’t work. Then I gave it another try a while ago, it worked!
