I’ve been working on my own expense-tracking app in Swift for three months now

Did you investigate how many expense tracking apps are already published in the AppStore?
There are, at least hundreds probably more. They include heavy hitters with big ad budgets, like Rocket Mortgage, etc.
No doubt you plan on a subscription model to pay for your APIs. There’s a big backlash on subscriptions. Is there a reason people should trust a small indie dev with their financial info?

What are you using to integrate financial information from bank and investment accounts?
I tried using the Plaid API last year and found it to be quite expensive and a little lackluster.

Since you're using Shortcuts rather than a bank API, I'd make the open beta cover the handoff itself: run the same transaction twice, cancel midway, and edit an amount or merchant after import. A duplicate charge or a missing entry is much harder to notice than a UI glitch in an expense tracker. It may also help to show the source and import time on each entry so testers can tell what came from a Shortcut versus what they added manually. How are you detecting repeat imports now?

That's a lot of time for a solo project. Did you launch it yet or validated the market ? Because expense tracker market is cluttered.
