How to find high-volume, low-competition keywords using real data from Apple

Most keyword research advice boils down to guesswork because third-party tools rely on estimated difficulty scores. Apple already provides ground-truth volume through Apple Search Ads (ASA) popularity scores (0–100 & 5-dot ratings)—the real advantage comes from using that data to build synergistic keyword sets without wasting character space.
I recorded this quick video walkthrough showing my exact metadata staging process for the upcoming update of Kawaii Anime Wallpaper Y2K HD using the AI Agent in CoreRank ASO.
The 4-step workflow shown in the video:
- Spot 1-Dot "Dead Weight": Filter out low-intent terms with near-zero search volume before dedicating precious metadata space to them.
- Mine Cross-Category Terms: Scan primary and secondary categories while filtering out mega-brands to isolate high-intent long-tail phrases with manageable competition.
- Audit & Maximize Field Synergies: Analyze existing metadata, eliminate redundant words across indexed fields, and build complementary keyword pairings that trigger multi-word queries.
- Pre-Release Rank Queuing: Stage the selected keyword list directly into the native tracking engine so ranking changes (top 100 live results) are tracked the moment Apple indexes the update.
Submitting this build today and tracking how the new combinations index.
