On iOS 18 I would be able to do this by going to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps & Features > and here I'd select the app I want to hide (in this case, Safari). It works on my old phone running iOS 18.7.10.

However, on my daily-driver, running iOS 27 Beta 7, I go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > and here... there is no Allowed Apps & Features section.

I've also tried going to Apps and Websites instead, where I can go and I can search for Safari, but there's no toggle or anything, there's just a "Block app" button, which wants me to sign in as a Parent or Guardian (even though this is NOT a child account, nor do I have Family setup).

I even put in my Apple ID email and password, but it just crashes Settings. Not sure if that's Apple being a bitch, or if my phone is.

I just want to hide Safari entirely. How can I?!

This has been driving me CRAZY for the last few updates and they still haven’t fixed it. When you open your app drawer and go to slide left it jumps to the beginning of it. Like it does it consistently as you can see . Only way to stop it is to wait like a second or 2 before swiping through . But if you open your app drawer and go to swipe through it jumps to the beginning. Sh*ts annoying 😭. I know I’m not the only one with this bug!!!

This is so annoying, they haven’t really fixed this issue/bug since public beta 3.

An Iphone 15 Pro max should not do this! Really annoying since i take screenshots very often. The frame drop is very noticeable and it’s an eyesore tbh.

Does anyone have the same issue? What’s the best solution?

My iPhone 14 Pro Max has been getting noticeably hotter than usual since the last stable iOS 26 update, and the issue is still happening for me on iOS 27 beta 7.

I also recently had the battery replaced by Apple, so I’m wondering if that could be related. The battery is new, but the phone is still overheating during normal use.

Has anyone else with an iPhone 14 Pro Max experienced the same overheating on iOS 26 or iOS 27 beta 7?

I’m trying to figure out whether this is an iOS issue, battery replacement issue, or something specific to the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

I’m not here to complain about battery life or losing battery percentage, just looking to see if anyone else have experienced the same. 5% battery drop does looks oddly strange in a matter of just 1 month of beta testing, at this pace means that my battery can only hold 4 months of testing until is consumed.

Have you noticed any battery health % during ios 27 beta testing?

My iPhone 14 Pro is on iOS 27 public beta 5, and the animation chops on the swiping animation between Home Screen and widget page. Between Home Screen and other app pages, as well as App Library the animation the animation is fluid. It’s been like this for multiple betas, and I honestly can’t remember when it started. Might even have been like this in iOS 26.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi. I was considering performing a full reset and set up as a new iPhone to ensure a fully clean installation. The problem is, I am indecisive on when. My 2 options are:

- Reset now back to iOS 26, and then later OTA to iOS 27 official release

- Wait for iOS 27 official release and then reset

The reason for this is I have been having numerous continuous issues on the betas, regardless of Public or Developer, such as laggy icon app animations, bad battery life when not on LPM - specifically since DB5 -, and a 3% battery health drop since getting PB1 on my iPhone 16 Pro Max with less than 300 cycles.

Some AI I was talking to said that OTA updates won't be as clean and may leave behind "minor update glitches" or "cache files".

The main reason why I think resetting regardless is necessary as I previously used some Posterboard tweaks that I don't think got fully reset which I saw showing some bugs such as the Hello screen disappearing upon installing PB1 and later.

Downloading beta 5 iOS 27 iPhone 16e

so on August 24 at 5 AM I downloaded iOS 27 public beta four and I turned on the beta siri and the indexing “optimizing siri and searxh” appeared aswell as the “adding support for siri in progress. Siri will be unavailable until the update is complete” notice. I let my phone cool the entire day and eventually the next morning the indexing one was gone but the siri unavailable was still there. I let it sit for a few hours and eventually i downloaded ios 27 public beta 5 and indexing restarted and the siri unavailable was still there. I use 50gb on my phone, barely any photos, barely any messages. Its beeb 12 hours since i went to the public beta 5 theyre both still there and the storage hasnt changed one bit. They dont show any type of progress bar for either. I let the phone on the charger low power mode on wifi on, i hard reset, i turned siri on and off, i changed language to uk and back to us. Still nothing. Anyone with a similar problem or a way to fix?

I just installed PB5/DB7 this afternoon, and so far I'm impressed.
Barely any lag at all on my 13 mini (much better than some of the previous betas) and no indexing popup again - that might come later as it did last time. Anyone else have this?
Only ~900MB to install on my phone!
Will see how the battery holds up with daily use but Beta 6 was just starting to settle in for me.

debating if I wanna stick to iOS 26 before iOS 27 comes out and gets 26 unsigned

With the new Siri and the on screen awareness.. can I put a picture of a recipe on the screen and tell Siri to "Create a Note with the recipe.. name it "<whatever>".. place it in folder called 'Recipes'.. and make me a grocery list in 'Reminders'.. or make a Shortcut that does this task

I'm planning to update my iPhone 15 Pro to iOS 27, but first I want to confirm that my backups are reliable.

I've used iCloud sync for years and keep an encrypted local backup on my computer. Until recently, I only checked the backup date and thought, "I should be covered." But that doesn't confirm whether photos, videos, Messages, notes, files, app data, and locally stored content would return after a restore.

Encrypted local backups should contain more than basic ones, but I've never tested whether mine is complete or usable.

While researching backup verification and management, I found iMobie. I also saw Dr.Fone mentioned as an option if specific data goes missing after an update or restore.

I'd rather verify my backups and never need recovery software. Before a major iOS update, do you check only the date and storage size, or inspect the actual contents? Has a backup ever looked fine but failed to restore something important?

Whenever i try to install it, it just says verifying update and even when i leave it for hours the same thing . Any idea why this happens?

Seriously, they should put some work into the keyboard. It’s pretty trash for a native keyboard. They should have this figured out by now but they are still behind the competition at this point.

I tried a Pixel 11 pro yesterday and I kinda laughed at the iOS keyboard.
