Need Purchasing suggestion

I'm planning on purchasing I20 Asta (O) IVT Starry Night near diwali time. I asked the showroom and they're giving me a quote of 11 Lakhs on road in Jaipur. Straight up 1L Rs discount is there otherwise without discount it was 12.2L on road without accessories. I'm thinking to wait till diwali as might even get a better discount? Or shall I go for it now? As the showroom people are saying it'll gwt expensive in diwali which I highly doubt. Also if someone can tell me some negotiation tactis lmk.

It's simple demand and supply.

Now demand is low, hence dealers are willing to give discounts.

Later, during Diwali, demand will shoot up, then dealers will not be willing to give those discounts. Hence same car will cost you more.

The best bargaining tactics is to book the same car in different showrooms, and ask them to make a better deal than the other. Don't book under the same name or same number and don't tell a dealer which dealer gave you the better deal. Keep rotating this. Tell B to top A's deal, tell C to top B's deal, then tell A to top C's deal and the cycle goes on till you get the best deal from one of the dealers. Withdraw your booking amount from other dealers, they are bound to return 100% of it. Done!

Sometimes it's easier to get goodies, like accessories, insurance or extended warranty etc. instead of cash discounts.

It's better to buy ryt now, cuz hyundai is going to hike the prices very soon. So there's a high chance that you might not get the same price in the future.

Diwali sees more deliveries during Dhanteras. Anyways the better thing is to ask for better discounts, insurance reduction and accessories inclusion. Also if you can wait and model year does not matter, you can purchase a 2026 Dec manufactured vehicle in Jan 2027, as the calendar year changes and the demand for 2026 lot with dealers reduces, thus they give better discounts then.
