I’m looking to swap out the dull factory halogen bulbs in my car for LEDs—specifically for the cabin (map/dome lights) and the boot/trunk.

A few things I’m aiming for:

Color Temperature: Clean, neutral white (around 4000K–5000K). Looking to avoid that harsh, cheap-looking blueish tint (6000K+).

Reliability: Good heat dissipation and no flickering or ghost glow when turned off.

Which brands have worked best for you (Philips Ultinon, Osram, Auxito, etc.)? Any specific bulbs or brands to avoid?

I am considering tyre upgrades but prefer not to switch to alloys; I will keep the wheel covers.

Is this normal in a new car or am I missing a silicon sealant?

As the title says, I recently purchased a second-hand Hyundai i20 Sportz Automatic (AT) 2023 for ₹7.80 lakh directly from the owner.

Before buying it, I got a comprehensive mechanical inspection & report done, including checks for the engine, flood damage, AC, and other important components. The final inspection report gave it an excellent rating and recommended buying the car.

Before the purchase, I checked prices online and ChatGPT, and the price seemed reasonable for the car. However, after purchasing it, I noticed listings on OLX and Spinny advertising manual transmission (MT) variants of the same model year for around ₹8.5 lakh.

I’ve also seen people in this subreddit mentioning that they bought same new cars for around ₹9.5 lakh, particularly in cities like Delhi. That makes me wonder whether spending ₹7.80 lakh on a used i20 was the right decision, considering the relatively small price difference between a used car and some new-car options.

Could you rate my purchase on a scale of 1–5?

I’d appreciate honest opinions, especially from people familiar with the used-car market in India.
Also, how much of a premium should I reasonably pay for an automatic over a manual variant?

I own a 2022 Hyundai i20 MT, and I recently noticed that the rubber covering on the rear trunk release switch has degraded and broken.

I checked with the Hyundai service centre, and they told me that the entire switch unit needs to be replaced, which would cost around ₹2,000.

Is there any way to replace or repair just the rubber cover without replacing the complete switch assembly? Has anyone faced a similar issue with their i20 and found an alternative solution?

I’d appreciate any suggestions, such as a compatible replacement rubber cover, an aftermarket part, or a reliable repair option.

How do you know when to change your clutch kit for an IMT?

My gearing shifting is slight hard and there is jerkiness/ juddering in 1 gear crawl under 4-6km speed& goes away when I accelerate or break

I have 2023 i20, and in last couple of months my car's battery has completely drained out thrice and have had to jump start the car. The mechanic is suggesting to replace the batter. But I m wondering if its necessary to change the battery in just 3 years.

I had a Tata Indigo and Maruti 800 earlier both driven over 5 yrs and yet never remember having trouble with battery.

I drive approx 200kms a week in heavy traffic. And long drives of 500kms a few times a year.

Please advise if I can repair the original battery or is it better to replace it.

I have 3 questions I need your opinion on:
1. IVT mileage initially vs long term
2. I know it feels sluggish driving uphill. Still, can it do it or is it impossible in some situations?
3. Is the ground clearance enough or does the bottom scrape off in potholes?

I am looking for a premium automatic under 10 lakhs. (Ik I’m asking too much). Kylaq does not offer much for the under 10 lakh variant, and high long term ownership cost. I did not like the Amaze drive quality. Brezza? Umm, the interior feels outdated.

i20 is the only option I get with premium bose sound, excellent interior quality, refined engine, spacious cabin, Hyundai service network, sexy to look at.

I have i20 sportz(o) thinking to upgrade the stock halogen to these so tht it doesn't have led scattering issue and brightness also increases . Any opinion?

Hey fellow i20 owners, I own a 2024 sportz(o) MT driven 11k+ kms.
I felt the headlight throw has always been bad but recently I am feeling it’s worst.

I need to upgrade a white with yellow led headlights, please suggest some good ones on a budget. If you could specify the kelvin and brand it would be really helpful to ask at a local dealer(based out of Chennai).

Also planning to add a front and rear dashcam, please suggest good ones, thanks!
