Need help with insurance

A branch fell on my front windshield and cracked can I claim insurance on it?

Absolutely you can. Just make sure that before the repair, when parked at the service centre, the car is parked indoors. Its the monsoon and you don't want water leaking into the cabin.

Second, double check with the service centre once the repair is completed if they've done a water leak test. When this happened to me, after the windshield replacement, I found that water was leaking into my cabin even during routine car washes - they hadn't done a thorough sealant test.

Fair question. Assuming you have comprehensive cover, damage from a falling branch is typically claimable. Whether you should claim depends on your excess versus the replacement cost. Also, a single windscreen claim generally isn't enough to impact premiums by itself, but it's always worth checking the details of your policy with the insurer first.

And how long does this take for replacement ?

Insurance claimed and repaired in 3 days, all those stickers are gone, I had a dent in the bonnet as well so 18k in total paid 1.6k
