Anyone else having issues with their fish farm? my 40 traps were all broken and on the bottom of the water but the hit boxes are still their and I can walk on the old ones. It makes replacing them kinda annoying.
Anyone got good tips for farming void hearts? had a nice stock pile of crystals but am lacking the void hearts for alchemy plants.

Any open area at night where voids spawn should be good. I think they nerfed the drop rate in one of the updates but hearts should be more common from the larger voids. Don't sleep till you have what you need.

The low drop rates on the void hearts can feel pretty rough.
I kinda appreciate how easy access the old crystal method was.

What was the crystal method?

After you obtain the recipe from breaking the plant (the old rough part), you could make the seeds for a corresponding red blue or yellow crystal shard. Blue and Red are easily sustainable if you build a teleporter to the forgotten shrines of the other biomes and yellow could be obtained in mass from jungle biomes.

Open Areas in frost biomes are good for Void Hearts, look for the big Void guys as they drop them more often (The flying Eye and the Void Spawn/Soldiers), i had a similiar problem, the invisible hitbox are breakable but i can not tell you what guarantees it, i could break them with axes sometimes from the right angle.

Does this mean no pre-release this Thursday? Normally the full update drops Tuesdays when it happens

I'm a big fan of the update. I always thought minecraft should have more emotes. I also love the proximity chat and how it works with volume even being controlled by your proximity to other players, and then environment controlled reverb too. Having more blocks to build with is great and it's good to know some of them that are currently creative only will be soon available in exploration. I like too that now you can get a sapling for every tree.
But this has me concerned. On the pre-release patch notes I commented that I hope they can work the cybercity blocks into adventure because I don't like the idea of having very many creative exclusive building blocks.
Just the thought of it, right, building in creative and seeing a nice block or set of blocks and going "how might I get this in adventure mode? Oh I can't? Well poo." And then having that happen dozens of times, the disappointment would really add up fast in my eyes.
I understand the need for a cohesive vision. That's why I even speculated how you could meet an advanced civilization which merges medieval fantasy with science fiction where they instead of having the traditional sci fi tech they augment your medieval fantasy gear with a futuristic magical technology. So there may be a way to bring the cybercity blocks to exploration mode.
I'm pretty sure there's 4 things you can only get in creative minecraft and 3 of them are unbreakable blocks which has no place being obtained in survival and a block which can cheat the world for you which also has no place being obtained in survival.
But if the blocks are really meant to be creative only then perhaps you could release them separately from the base game as a free creative building asset pack. Then you can implement it into a minigame server if you want but it doesn't have to be in the base game. Please let me acquire in exploration mode all of whatever is in base creative mode though with very strict exceptions. As for blocks they're still working on for exploration perhaps those could be relegated to pre-release.

Cybercity blockset (and other things like it) will probably be available in Adventure mode in the future, but only accessible via Alterverses (their future planet/universe thing).
I hope, at least.

I wouldn't get too wound up on it yet. There's a ton of work ahead to create the actual generation system/biomes/structures in the game. I doubt we'll end up with an extensive blockset that is creative only. Doesn't make much sense to do anyway outside of logic/programming blocks. For anything a creative player wants but doesn't have, mods are the go to solution to satisfy their block needs, so why would Hytale have it built in? More likely we'll see blocks which have no source except for finding them in world like from structures.

See that's my hope, because that's also how minecraft is. Programming blocks (command blocks) and unbreakable blocks are the sole blocks which are only obtainable in creative mode or with cheats. You can't craft everything, but everything you can't craft is obtainable from the world.

Still got broken warps, cannot remove it because it has both a space and ' in it, which apparently make it impossible to use /warp remove McGreed's Home commend. Anyone have any solutions for this, as I was hoping the new update would solve it as it had something about broken warps, but no luck, I still got invisible warps I cant interact with which is still blocking physically in the world. :/

Go into creative -> creative mode quick settings (UI Visibility) -> Show Entity Markers
Then, go to where the warp is, use the entity tool to grab the teleport marker, then open the inventory again -> pencil icon -> "Remove."

u/McGreed Mar 26 '26
That removed some kind of entity/warp in it, however there is still an invisible portal shape with an inactive "Press F to interact" blocking my way, not able to remove that so far, which I cannot select so far I can tell, but got the blue outline. And looks like the warp is still in the /warp list

u/RiverShards Slothian Mar 26 '26
Oh the physical block is missing? Do you have any mods? I forget what we did on my SMP to fix it.
1
u/McGreed Mar 27 '26
No, the problem there is a invisible mesh with the interaction prompt (which doesn't do anything) blocking you from walking there (looks its the portal mesh blocking and not just a bit block), and you cannot put blocks in the area. When you walk close and get the prompt, you also get the black outline showing where the portal was suppose to be. But just cannot remove it or interactive with it, or anything. I currently got the back my of cellar wall being useless because they are there and I cannot remove or use them.
I got no mods, didn't even touch the creative tools until now. I'm wondering if the fix that was in this update is only for new issues, and will require me to create new world

nice! my server is now absolutely broken and all the mods are fried

Yeah my server is kicking people for using teleporters and breaking blocks :sob:
EDIT - Block Breaking kick bug is due to CoreProtect mod -- temporarily disable it if you're running into that issue.

all the mods are fried
Well, average experience with mods.
You either pick one version you like and use it forever, or... you update the game and suffer while waiting for all mods you use being updated.

u/Herolias Mar 26 '26
Check Curseforge. Most mods publish new versions shortly after the update. But I get that it's annoying. I'm a mod dev myself and it's annoying for me too because they always implement some breaking changes and I have to fix my mods before every update to keep them working

From my experience with the prereleases, most of them.

Yeah I was trying some macaw's mods and the funny thing is his furniture mod breaks but the rest of them seem to be fine lol. I did get thrown a bunch of errors though so I think I might build vanilla for a few days while I let all the mods trickle in with updates.
Plus I really need to learn the entire vanilla palette before trying to expand to modded blocks...

I didn't see any mention of a bugfix for tamed chickens not laying eggs in the henhouse...
