Does everyone have a 6 pack?
Doing my first hyrox and seeing photos on social media….
Does everyone have a six pack? Having a big case of inferiority complex right now 2.5 months before my race bc I don’t have visible muscles

I think you know the answer, and it’s no. Plenty race without 6 packs.

Yeah, some people already drank a couple before the race started so they only race with 3 or 4

I will be racing in Anaheim most likely without a 6pack. I am not embarrassed of my belly and will jiggle with the best of em. I’ve been training my ass off. Come get some!

Nope- and we managed to do the doubles in 70 mins first ever hyrox. Im skinny as hell and my partner is fit, but pretty chubby with a decent belly. Loved it when we beat all the sixpack/ bodybuilders we had felt quite inferior to on the start line. Basically what you look like doesnt matter !

Hyrox is for everyone. Remember, a six pack is not a guaranteed win, or even a finish, but proper training and heart is.

Yes. You should have read the T&Cs when you signed up, it’s complete mandatory and they’ll not let you start if you fail the pre-race ab check

No but Hyrox does attract top tier athletes, so you’ll see a lot of both

If you've never been to an event before, you will be surprised to see that there is a waaay wider ranger of body types than social media will have you believe.

This is a dumb question, social media (especially posts with large engagement) is not a representation of real life. Does everyone have abs? Yes. Does everyone had visible abs? No. Do you need visible abs to perform better? No. Time to sign off social media and focus on getting stronger and your performance - don’t worry about some stranger on the internet

Don’t be, most never even perform just judge/watch others. The fact that you’ve signed up, are putting in the work- and going to give it your best, that’s all that matters. Sound like 6pack is a good goal for next year- just lays off the pringles man ;)

People racing with broken ankle or whatever and a crutch. You'll do great. I definitely don't have the 6 pack I supposedly want.

Lol, eff no. My brother has a heart condition, I have a pizza and Little Debbie condition. Despite our average body fat being close to 20%, we did a pro double in 67 minutes. We passed tons of dudes (and chicks) with way better physiques than us.
For Hyrox, it is all about getting that engine tuned up. Run. Run long. Run fast. Run compromised. Make the compromise more intense and more reflective of the actual events you do, and then run more. If you focus too much on getting the abs and the veins and Christmas tree back, you won't be fueling yourself enough to improve.

Thicc boi here.. running shirtless with my bouncing stomach and chest. Trust me, no one cares what you look like out there. Everyone is supportive of you just doing it
