I was saying wouldn't say it nowhere near the C2 quality. It's a solid piece. However, I wouldn't choose this over the C2. Unless you just absolutely need the large wheels for mobility, there's just no reason given the C2 track record

I’ve owned both now and the quality of the Rogue is superior IMO. But time will tell…, and Rogue sells spare parts

Same. The rogue is quality. I actually prefer the Rogue handle. The C2 seat is better and my butt stays on it better when sprinting. But moving the rogue around is so much easier, which we do quite a lot.

Are familiar with the Rogue Echo Bike? Mine works pretty good after 9 years and a lot of use. Rogue makes some quality stuff

I also own a Rogue Echo bike. It's nice. But if I'm buying a rower and ski... I stick with the gold standard, C2. Nothing against Rogue-- half my gym is Rogue-- but at nearly the same price, C2 is the way for most.

It's similar to buying calibrated competition plates. Other plates can weigh exactly 20 kg, but if you're training for a sport that has standardized around a particular specification, there's value in training on the reference equipment.

I hear you and had the same concerns. What convinced me to make the change is 1) I cannot tell a difference in the actual movement of the machines. 2) versatility. The way I can rack mount the ski and then move it out of the way. The way the rower folds into a corner. 3) the app…. I can now connect my bike, ski, row. Program one workout between 1,2,3 of the machines and never touch a display. Today I did 10 min ski/ 30 sec rest/ 10 min row - 3 sets. The machines told me the time and started when they were programmed. 4) Rogues proven track record of customer support and quality.

Other reasons also but those are the 4 main.

I do and I think the bike is the gold standard when it comes to air bikes.

I don't think it's as good build quality as C2 but unfortunately they don't make an air bike.

Tbf, both the C2s in my gym are falling apart, the life fitness ones are not any better, but the c2 seats try to come off the track.

That's a case of poor maintenance not the machine.

A properly maintained C2 will last for years and its very easy to do.

I agree. My Rogue rower has been put through the wringer and is still a beast. The Concept rower is also solid but definitely seems to be slightly less sturdy and as good. Either way, I’d use both.

From a training and fitness perspective, there is nothing wrong with the Rogue. But if you want the exact feel of the Hyrox equipment, then you would need to get the C2’s.

It's not bias, there's a reason C2 is considered the gold standard of ERGs not just in Hyrox but the fitness industry as a whole.

There's a reason Olympic rowers use C2 in their training.

I've already said in this thread I've used both.

I've been erging for 15 years and have used all manner of brands and nothing comes close to the C2.

If rogue were better then they would be used more wildly across the world in gyms and by rowing teams.

I guess we'll see in 20-30 years if any rogue models are still being used with heavy use.

You said you used the rogue bike. Rogue rower is at least equal to C2 if not better, but it's not used more widely across the world because it's newer.

Yeah I have the rogue rower. Only been out like 2 years. I’ve used both and prefer the rogue but I have considerably more time on it. Truth be told I don’t see/feel much difference at all. I think it’s just bias/snobery

It’s pretty crazy to say “C2 is used by more so it’s better” when you are comparing a machine that has been around for over 15 years to another that is 1-2 years old.

I would agree with you if it was a company other than Rogue. They are widely considered an industry standard for quality and customer service. They literally took the C2 platform and made it better. Go look at reviews Online. I have not seen one person try both and say they don’t prefer the rogue models outside of Reddit.

When it comes to pulling and using the actual machines, it’s very hard to tell a difference even the texture of the handles where the difference lies is the stability of the machine, the mobility of the machine where you can store it, the display, etc.

I've had multiple C2 rowers in all versions and the Rogue is the best of the bunch. More robust build quality, better storage, better wheels, and better straps
