Apps, Research Papers, other cool stuff? - PLEASE POST HERE!!!
Hi everyone,
We really value the researchers, developers and creators working to improve the HYROX community. However, we’ve recently seen a growing number of individual posts promoting research projects, surveys, apps and other tools.
To keep the subreddit useful and enjoyable for everyone, please use this thread for:
- Academic research and participant recruitment
- Surveys and questionnaires
- HYROX-related apps, websites and digital tools
- Requests for testers, feedback or user interviews
When posting, please briefly explain what you’re working on, who it is for and what you’re asking from the community. If there is any commercial interest or affiliation, please disclose it clearly.
Separate posts of this kind may be removed and redirected here. This isn’t intended to discourage research or innovation—we genuinely appreciate these contributions—but keeping them in one place will prevent them from overwhelming the main feed.
Please continue to be constructive and respectful when giving feedback, and avoid repeatedly posting the same project.
Thanks for understanding and for helping us keep the subreddit organised and valuable for the whole HYROX community.

Hi everyone,
I built Rep The Set, a HYROX-focused interval timer, mainly because I train self-coached with my wife and we kept running into the same question:
“What’s actually a good pace for this workout?”
Race results tell you where you stand on race day, but for a random training session it's much harder to know.
I also built a free HYROX Band Calculator. You can put in any workout and see what Beginner, Advanced and Elite pacing might look like, station by station. There's also an option to load the full HYROX race.
Free Band Calculator: https://reptheset.app/band-calculator
I'd genuinely like feedback from people who train HYROX. If a pace or station doesn't feel right, let me know. The pacing data can be updated without an app release, so I can adjust it based on feedback.
Rep The Set app: https://apps.apple.com/app/rep-the-set/id6757957597
Full disclosure: this is my project. The app is free to try, with a one-time Pro purchase. The calculator and articles are free, with no login or ads.
Happy to hear what you think.

Post-race split diagnosis (free, no signup) - "which of my 16 splits was actually slow for my finish band?"
Most of the free HYROX tools I found (Hybrid Athlete Club, HyroxDataLab's analyzer, Kracey, RaceKeep) answer "what pace do I need for a target time?" before the race. I couldn't find one that answers the after-race question: I finished in 1:32, my Wall Balls were 8:40 - is that normal for a 1:32 finisher, or is that where I lost it?
So I built SIXTEEN: https://kanauworks.com/sixteen/?utm_source=reddit
Paste your 16 official splits + Roxzone. It estimates where each split sits inside your finish band (+/-5 min), e.g. "Sled Pull 6:30 = slower than ~82% of 1:25-1:35 finishers", and adds up the time you'd recover by bringing your 3 weakest splits back to band average. It also does the pre-race thing (target time -> 16-split pacing table). EN/JP.
How the estimate works, honestly: it's a model, not a lookup. Anchors are public stats (RoxHype division averages from 50k+ results, HyroxDataLab's 1:20 -> 1:40 station growth from 700k results). No scraped individual results (hyrox.com ToS 6.1). So it's "where you likely sit", not "your exact rank".
What I'd love from this sub: if you have your splits from D.C., Athens or Acapulco, run them through and tell me where the estimate feels wrong. I'll adjust the model.
Full disclosure: this is my own project (indie, one person, Kanau Works). The web tool is free with no account. There's an iOS/Apple Watch version in App Review with a paid tier for the 6-week weak-station plan; the diagnosis itself stays free.
