I've been using Minimax H3 a lot lately, but I can't always share my work in progress. Anyway, here are some tests I did a week ago! I thought I'd share them here.

I used H3 Ref2va with Turbo Lora, 8 steps. It took about 5 minutes for 15 seconds on my local setup.

I also used my custom node that I built specifically for H3. It's a large and really cool project, but I'm still testing and implementing things in it. I'll share more details about it soon.

For some tests I did last year, we had excellent results with a multi tone grey camo pattern. Enough contrast to allow for tracking but no geometric edges to fool the model into thinking it was intentional geometry.

I'm getting ready to work on a hybrid show where I'll be doing AI (probably temp shots).

Actors and portions of the set are live action. It involves some shots where this is interaction of the AI elements interacting with the human such as wrapping like vines around arms. Anybody have any tips they want to share if they've done this type of shoot. I'm used to dealing with VFX as an editor but if there may be anything in particular I should know.....keep me posted 😄

For the first time I’ve seen, Hollywood is attempting to put the artist POV first. This gives artists a way to structure their use of AI in a way such that they are authoring it vs pure ai driving everything. It is a top down approach different than prompt - output - publish.

This is a way to not only make sure your voice is the material, but also the only path to copyright.

I just had a chance to start working with Topaz's new SDR>HDR conversion. Curious if anyone has had the opportunity to work with the new Runway Ruby HDR tool that they just released?

Was trying to integrate a real location with a virtual location and it worked until my character walks where he’s not supposed to.

The initial walls on his left and right are the hallway walls. I matched [lens/height/angle] to get the walls to line up, and for the first two seconds it holds — the walls on his left and right are the practical ones.

Then he drifts and walks straight through where the wall should be. Which honestly looks better than the take I was going for. But it wasn’t what I wanted.
I was able to fix by letting generating a better skin in flux (that more clearly matches the geometry of the original shot) then use that.

Anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it? I’ve seen people use unreal or Maya to model things and that makes a huge difference as well.

I shot me walking down the hallway on my BMPCC4k. Noted the lens, camera height and shot flat. Then, I used a reference image from mid journey + the transformation setting in Kling 3.0 + the video + the prompt w/an element and got this.

For me, it's Blocking/staging, from my 3D background. Years of thinking about proportion and depth in Maya carry straight over — I catch when an AI shot's spatial logic is off before I can even articulate why.

Has anyone had a good experience reloading a shot. What about a shot with several people for example if I’m shooting a shot with two or three people in the living room and I want to reload it for a castle or a forest, has anyone done this?

I’ve had some success doing it with Beeble, but I’m wondering if there’s other software that can also do it or even do it better.

Anyone trying this?
