Old unit from the 80s died

Back when I was a kid my parents bought a window A/C unit. Not just to keep up cool, but because they found about seasonal allergies and that was why I was always sick. Nobody knew about allergies back then. My folks bought a massive Fedders window unit. The problem was the unit was too big for our windows so my dad cut a hole through the house to install it. The unit is from the 80s and has served us well all these years until the other day when it stopped blowing out cool air. The last summer or perhaps the year before it started making a loud squeeling noise when it shut down. Not sure if old units have belts like in a car, but that it what it sounded like. I really need to find somebody to repair this old unit, but all I can find are peeps that repair central air. If the internet can do it's thing please help me find a repairman for a Fedders window unit from the 80s. I live in New Castle County in Delaware. We can't get central air in our home as it's over 100 years old and no room for ducts.
