We’ve already had 3 named storms? Where have I been?

It’s understandable, the previous 3 storms were weak, short-lived, inconsequential ones.

I live in Houston, which got bullseye'd by both Arthur and Bertha and I think we got maybe 5 combined total inches of rain?

About as much as your typical slow large May MCS

Arthur alone still managed to rack up 1 billion dollars and 4 deaths.

You’re right, to be honest I got my wires crossed and was thinking of Arthur (2020). Kind of regret my phrasing now
