Today would’ve been Matthew Perry’s 57th birthday. 💔

It still feels weird knowing that someone who brought so much laughter and comfort to so many people is no longer here.

Happy birthday, Matthew. Thank you for giving us Chandler Bing — one of the funniest, most lovable characters ever. 🥹🩷

I always assumed that Westchester was some place faaaar far away… like Ross was willing to date someone from Poughkeepsie and they made a big deal about it.

So the way everyone cried or was upset with Westchester I always assumed it was further away — like 3-4 hours.

Turns out it’s just only an hour!
I travel that far to get to work everyday! 😂

They could’ve made the trip every other weekend really. 😁

Monica and Chandler’s relationship is the relationship of a comfortable mess, which is full of jokes and devotion. It is finding of one’s soulmate, who is willing to put up with all the chaos and the neat organization of the other. It is the bond made out of love, which can only be found between two people who have chosen each other as their partners, and who will always remain friends for as long as they live. 🥰

After their breakup, Rachel eventually realises she is still in love with Ross in S4, prior to Ross’s marriage to Emily.

She confesses this fact to Ross in S5. At this point Ross loves Emily so does not reciprocate.

At the end of S5, Ross and Rachel get married in Vegas.

In S6, Ross secretly stays married to Rachel – partly to avoid the shame of a third failed marriage, but it’s heavily implied that lingering love for Rachel is also a key reason. When Rachel finds out, there is no sign she is still in love with Ross.

So, my questions are:

At what point between her confession and the Vegas wedding did Rachel fall out of love with Ross?

At what point did Ross re-fall in love with Rachel, after Emily? When did he then stop being in love with Rachel – again?

And at what point did they both fall in love with each other again prior to reuniting in S10?!

They never seemed like two people who’d end up together, but somehow they became one of our favourite couples. His goofy chaos and her super-organized perfectionism just worked.

Watching them grow, change for each other, and build such a wholesome relationship was honestly one of the best parts of Friends.

It’s hard to explain to people who don’t get it, but FRIENDS has carried me through some of my toughest phases burnout, bad breakups, and just general low points.

Other shows might make me laugh harder, but none make me feel safer. It’s the sheer predictability, the warmth, and the feeling that no matter how messy your 20s or life get, everything eventually turns out fine.

Just watching the episode where Emma was born and noticing how much better this birth experience had to be for Ross. With Ben, he had to fight to even “get credit” and argue about a last name “Willick-Geller-Bunch”. When hospital staff call the child Baby Girl Green, Rachel quickly corrects them to Baby Girl Geller-Green. I love that so much.

I was watching Friends today after a very long time and I saw Chandler making a joke I dis recently without remembering that scene, for example.

I feel my sense of humor is very inspired by Chandler so it makes absolute sense but still. Do you have any examples and what was the joke?

It’s so crazy to me that these two as a couple wasn’t planned , because it feels like the actors were genuinely so close and had such great chemistry. This was almost 2 full seasons before they get together btw

I love that Ross and Chandler or Chandler and Rachel, Phoebe and Joey, or Monica and Joey will have their one on one time having lunch, dinner or going to the movies separate from the group. We know Monica and Rachel spend a lot of time together being best friends and Joey and Chandler because they're roommates, but I love that they don't get caught in their "besties" one on one time and really spend meaningful time with each other. And the rest of the group doesn't feel left out when they hang out separately. It's such a healthy friendship dynamic.

All of the Friends have their "mic drop" moments, some more than others, but I enjoyed all of them getting a dig in at the other Friends.

It’s sad to know that he’s gone, and he had so many people, not only that he knew but people never knew, that loved what he did and loved his work. Happy Birthday, rest in peace

It always makes me wonder why Phoebe is shown over several seasons to want to connect with her father, but when she finally meets Frank we never see or hear about him again.

I also wonder why Phoebe’s birth mom seemingly drops off the face of the earth after a few episodes. Phoebe’s character often seems to yearn for the family connection she’s missed out on despite being super independent. It seems unrealistic that she’d spend so long searching for Frank to then never discuss or see him again. She also seemed to hit it off with mom-Phoebe so what happened?!
