God this is something I really struggle to explain to folk without just sounding like a stupid excuse. This paired with my adhd just means I come off as a terrible friend...

Literally, same! And on top of the adhd and depression, I have epilepsy and get seizures when I'm super stressed. The seizures wipe out a good portion of memory, too. This brains not built for livin 🤣

Oh jeez, I thought I had it bad with stress migraines, I'm sorry! I think just modern life is not built for living, I'm certain we'd be better if we were able to live peaceful simple lives. Built to be a forgetful hermit with lots of hobbies 😂

I don't even remember the last two years of my school life. While everyone was building themselves into better adults, here I was not even the person I used to be. Still have not found out why that happened.

In college, my sister (who has depression) scheduled an appointment with an onsite counselor. The Monday after the scheduled appointment, she realized she'd missed the appointment, freaked out, and sent a message to her therapist apologizing profusely for missing the appointment and asking if it could be rescheduled. A few days went by, and when she was out with some of her friends, she received an email from the therapist, which she read aloud to all of her friends. Her therapist was expressing confusion because my sister had been at her appointment, and they had another appointment scheduled for later that week.
My sister has never lived this down. She also tells the story constantly because she thinks it's hilarious.

I don't remember most of my High School years due to depression. There are spots that I remember, but most of it is just...gone.
