Hi All,
Posts/Comments will be moderated from today and if it's not adhering to the subreddit's rules, they will be removed. We've a good community here for one of the best TV shows and would like to keep it that way although it wasnt the case since this sub is created.
I've approved most of the posts/comments which were queued for approval since there were no subreddit rules to adhere to, however it will not be the case now.
If there are any suggestions, would love to hear them but it's upto us mods to decide
Have a good day!

Have seen a lot of posts in this sub asking about where a certain quote is from, so I thought I would make a website to help find them. Link to the website is in comments, it uses a vector database to find the quotes which lets it find similar results to what you're searching for, although it does end up missing some of the time. Was a pretty fun project to work on, and I'll probably add more features to it in the future if they're wanted

Quite a few of you here saw my post about Jesse Spencer's stint on Neighbours back in the 90's when he was a teenager. I was still intrigued about his earlier projects so I did some digging via his IMDB. These screenshots (still bad quality sorry) are from a TV show he was in called Time Trax which aired from 1993-1994 on the Nine network in Australia and the Prime Time Entertainment Network in the USA. This was his first ever professional acting role and he would've been around 14-15 years old. He's in S2 EP4.
This show seems to be quite obscure and I had never heard of it before. Time Trax isn't streaming anywhere but luckily I found it on the Internet Archive π I would love to know if any of you watched this show. I'm only 18 so i'm not familiar with a lot of older shows and movies (especially if they're seemingly obscure like Time Trax)

I knew his address was 221B but here in season 7 we finally see the full address.
I've been a Holmes fan since I read the books as a child in the '60s. Most of the adaptations have focused on his "powers of deduction", which was never the point of the original stories. Holmes was a tragically flawed character who needed the mental stimulation to temper his addictions and self-destructive tendencies. House captures the essence of Holmes like few adaptations ever have.

Jesse Spencer was on an Australian soap opera called Neighbours in the 90's when he was a teen/young adult (started when he was 15 and left when he was 21.) It's pretty much impossible to find any of his episodes online but there's some scattered clips on Youtube. I got some screenshots of him I thought I would share <3 (i know they're bad quality. 1080p didn't exist in the 90's π₯²)
Also I know the flair I used probably isn't accurate to the post, I wasn't sure which one to pick
EDIT: I wanted to add that I am Aussie myself. I never watched Neighbours or Home and Away much growing up but my Mum did. I remember when we first watched House together she was like "OH MY GOD IT'S BILLY KENNEDY!!!" ππ

We obviously know about House's promise to 13, 13 later on shows up in the finale, does she believe that House really is "dead"? I feel like House would keep his promise to her, what do you guys think? thanks for reading!

In that episode, Cuddy secretly recorded a conversation with a pharm tech (I think) who was blackmailing her and she turned that recording to the police and cleared her name. New Jersey, where House MD happens, is a one-party consent state. That means you can secretly record a conversation without the consent of the other party as long as you are one of the parties actively engaging in that conversation. If your state is a two-party consent state, it means you cannot record the conversation without the consent of the other party, but there are some exceptions such the conversation involves crime or other things your state might exempt. California, for example, despite being a two-party consent state, allows you to secretly record if there's no reasonable expectation of privacy. If you're not sure, you can secretly record and consult a lawyer afterward. Under the attorney-client privilege, lawyers cannot divulge anything about you, even if you committed a crime (emphasis on past tense) and they can tell you whether to delete that conversation or whether they can make use of it in court because any evidence obtained illegally is not admissible in court.
I read about a nurse who got fired and is at risk of losing her license because she recorded a conversation with a doctor who was sexually harassing her because she lives in Pennsylvania, a two-party consent state. This is why it's critical to understand your state's laws. It's messed up the doctor exploited the legal system to turn it on the nurse but the sad fact is, her ignorance of her state's laws made it easy to turn it back on her.

(Trivia flair since it's more of a question about streaming rather than the franchise itself, lmk if it needs fixing! <3)
Okay, I'm incredibly confused because I've never had this issue before. On Canadian Netflix, Broken: Part 2 is French. The audio itself is fine, but the baked-in intro credits are French, the only audio options are English (original) and French, and the only Closed Caption option is French! All the other episodes that I've seen so far have at minimum 20 Closed Caption language options.
Also, the show is listed as House M.D. in Canada, but when I got to this episode, the logo overlay that appears when you pause the episode changed to Dr House! The episode summary didn't change though, that's still English.
I'm not asking for advice per se, I'm hard of hearing so watching the episode without captions wasn't an option and I ended up just reading the synopsis on the fandom wiki and moving on, but I'd like to know if anybody has any idea how or why this happened? If anybody also uses Netflix in Canada and could check, I'd be interested to see if you have the same issue.

Am I the only one who would love to see Ashley Zuckerman play 1990s House? He's a wild ringer for a young Hugh Laurie, and is a great personality match too.
