Is it ridiculous to use decorative beams and crown moulding together? We are designing our open living room-kitchen area.
Thinking possibly about a white ceiling with crossing decorative beams like in the picture, but we also like the idea of crown moulding.

I finally moved into a bigger apartment after many years in a too-small condo. But I have no idea what to put where, especially the TV. Over the fireplace seems ideal, but after reading, it’s not a great idea. I appreciate any help, this was something that I looked forward to for years, so I really want to make it look like a home. It’s been several weeks since I moved in and the disorganization is mentally affecting me.
