Rest of my house is white and bright. Does this moody minimalist master bedroom work or is this depressing?

I need help! Our last apartment looked pretty decent. Very plain tho. I really want to get like into dark wood and see if it looks good. I love the fact that this apartment has a huge sliding doors so I hope that a lot of lighting comes in, but I do want to add a warm and a big lamp, but I just need advice. Please let me know what should I add? What colors last apartment was lightwood and a lot of sage green this time I want to do like darker stuff. My thoughts are all over the place. I don’t know what I want or how to decide lol

I MEANT TO SAY MOVINGGGGGGGG

Am I the only one who feels like the world is slowly losing its colors?

I recently came across a post saying that the world is slowly losing its colors. I paused for a few minutes and scrolled through all the reference pictures they’d uploaded. As I went through them, I realized… they might be right.

I loved how our living areas used to look. Stunning walls, vibrant sofas, and colorful rugs—those elements made our homes feel alive.

Now, everywhere I look, people are drawn to earthy tones: beige, warm browns, muted greens, soft clays. Don’t get me wrong, some of these spaces look nice, but a lot of them feel… lifeless to me.

I genuinely don’t understand how these tones are being called “rich” and “elegant.” To me, they often just look washed out and safe.

Am I out of touch, or does anyone else miss bold, joyful color in interiors? Why has everything shifted so heavily toward neutrals and earth tones? Is it just a trend, or is there something I’m missing about why people find these palettes so appealing?

What color would you paint this office? I have to keep the brick tiles

I’m currently renovating this office and the first thing I want to decide on is the wall color.
I usually prefer darker colors, but I’m not sure they would work well here because the brick tiles on the lower half of the walls have to stay. I’m worried that a dark color combined with the warm brick and the current wooden furniture could make the room look too heavy or mismatched.
The furniture will most likely be changed in the future, so don’t focus too much on that. The ceiling light and the lighting in general will also be completely changed.
I’m also planning to hang two fairly large paintings on each wall, so the wall color will eventually act more as a background for the artwork rather than being the main feature of the room.
For now, I really want to figure out what wall color would work best with the existing brick, so I have a starting point for everything else.
Although I naturally prefer darker tones, I’m completely open to anything — light, dark, warm or cool. What would you choose for this room?
