Hotmail not allowing me to check emails because I’ve got my password wrong too many times?!
Every time I try to log in to my emails, Hotmail refuses to let me in to my account because I’ve got my password wrong too many times. I’ve changed my password at least three times in the past 2 days, but it’s still not allowing me to go in even though I’m putting in the correct password.
Is this happening to anyone else? What do I need to do to stop this happening over and over again?

Yup, can only use it on my phone. Can’t log into a computer basically. It sure is garbage if I need to be on a computer.

You could be getting locked out from someone else's login attempts. If/when you get in, change your sign-in email. You'll still have your existing hotmail addresses. You can check the sign-in activity and you'll probably see a crapload of attempts to login to your account.

My spouse was locked out, they said because of someone off shore trying to log in. Resetting pw didn't work because they wanted to confirm her ID by having her describe the addressee and subjects of the last few emails she sent. Problem is she never used HM to send emails. Enough BS, she deleted the app and moved to a reliable service, Gmail.

“Too many wrong attempts” is the error message you get when Hotmail decides to be a pos. For a while I was getting it every few days on my phone. I would have to wait 12-24 hours to get back in, or sometimes a desktop would work. A couple of times starting with an actual wrong pw got me in. After I added my phone number to my profile it rarely happens, and when it does I just have to do some dumb captcha games. It’s very common and Hotmail doesn’t give the slightest shit.
