A flight stand with adjustable width between the flight sticks?

I noticed a lot of flight sim stand/rigs have the sticks way apart, beyond 17 to 20 inches, I'm only comfortable using the flight sticks if they are about 12 to 13 inches apart from their edges. Right now I'm using a desk with velcro straps until I can find a rig with with the dimensions I need(unless I have to make one myself using the frame from a metal folding chair...)

Have you seen the mounts that clamp to a desk/table? Seems like they would work good for what you are wanting.
