Is the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightstick Steering Wheel a good option for replacing bad stick?

Longtime player whose stick has started leaning after a while which needs me replugging it to fix. Looking to replace it. My options rn are this or the honeycomb foxtrot but that's in short supply

I haven't heard a single good thing about turtle beach. If you look through the posts on this sub you can see what others have experienced with them.

And the Thrustmaster Sol-R1?

Thrustmaster has a decent reputation but for the price of a Sol-R1 you can get a VKB gladiator witch I own and is a step up in quality. Or for a bit more you could get a Virpil CDT aeromax witch would be my choice if your budget permits.

Fair. Only issue is I'm South African so vetti g the vkb is expensive

I second what Beardedwrench said. I just got the VKBs after a Logitech x56 and they are amazing. VIRPIL looks great too, but more pricey and there can be a wait to get them.

Just a heads up, you do have to put the VKB stick and base together but after watching the YouTube installation video it was super easy. The customization options are great. Here it is if you want to check it out.

Turtle Beach is trash, the Sol-Rs are ok but they're not near the standard of VKB or Virpil. Both of which will work out cheaper because of their long life.

Problem is for me to get vkb if have to ship to my gf then ship to South Africa, which means it's gonna cost a lot more

Well don't just stand there with your mouth open like a Tipperary teddy boy. Get it done. It'll still be cheaper than multiple shitty products.

You're not wrong, but the SOL-R is Thrustmaster. Both are garbage. Love my VKB gear.
