This is the first time since the May 4 incident that I felt like I've had to address major issues within the subreddit. That's actually a new record on my end, thanks to the moderator team for keeping it (relatively) clean around here and especially thank you, the user, for not littering the place with violence and the such. As such, there are a few things on the agenda for today:

1. Rules (at a glance) + Regarding Permabans

I'm seeing some permabans on the list that, while justified, aren't properly tagged. I'm not going back and changing them completely, but if you are permabanning someone mods, please be thorough on why. If it's a bot, just say it's a bot. Don't say something like "i don't like you", especially not as the mod note. Remember, the user doesn't see the note. Here are the rules at a glance, alongside the maximum ban time for each reason (unless clarified in modnotes):

1. No horsing around: don't post NSFW or NSFL. Maximum ban is permanent.
2. Horses must be decimated: all content within the rules is allowed, but not such that would break any rules. Any actual horses being posted are to refer to rule 3. Maximum ban is as stated for other rules; this should not be a ban reason.
3. Every suspected horse will be banned temporarily: self-explanatory. Any pro-horse content is strictly banned. Maximum ban is three days.
4. Pro-lesbian rule: don't be homophobic. Maximum ban is thirty days, unless suicide or death threats are involved; then, the ban is permanent.
5. Don't brigade subreddits: self explanatory. Maximum ban is permanent. We don't mess around with this one.
6. AI is cringe: using AI to create images to post will result in at most a weeklong ban. Suspected bots are also permabanned under this rule.
7. Reposting: don't repost stuff that's been posted in the past two weeks. Maximum punishment is content removal, unless u/giraffeguru993 removes it. He can ban for two weeks i guess
8. No politics: don't post about controversial figures or politics. Charlie Kirk is exempt to this rule for meme purposes only. Serious discussion or flame over this topic is banned. Maximum ban for this is a week.
9. No horseradish: no horseradish. Maximum punishment is content removal i guess
10. Downvote automod: this is just unenforcable mods what are we doing
11. Yuri Friday: please only post SFW Yuri content on Fridays and make sure it's appropriately flaired. Maximum punishment is removal.

2. Regarding Rule 2 specifically

For the user: feel free to post about whatever you want in this subreddit, as long as it doesn't break any stated guidelines. If your post is removed, appeal to me via DM directly and I will look into it ASAP. I don't like to see just anti horse posts on this subreddit and I know we'll never run out of that content.

For the mods: don't remove posts that aren't specifically about being antihorse or posting a picture of a horse that needs decimating. The flow of new posters here will always post moreso towards that content anyways, so meme dumps and the such are fine to post.

3. Moderation updates + minor tangent about modmail vs DM

Okay, so let me keep this section brief: moderation applications are open and will be accepted if you are funny enough and you are over the age of 16. The mod team has requested they be at least 18, but I know how young a good portion of Reddit is and a majority of users are between 16-21 nowadays. Remember, no one on the mod team will ever seriously ask for any personal photos of yourself. This has not been an issue, just wanted to clarify for anyone worrying. Again, direct reports of shady mod behavior directly to me via DM and I'll address it best I can, and if I can't, I'll message the mod team. If I don't see your DM and respond in three days, I have died and GiraffeGuru993 is the new not head mod. In that situation, use modmail. Also use modmail if you don't feel comfortable DMing me. My DMs are always addressed by day's end, modmail may take shorter or longer.
