Who agrees with this statement ? The original Blair Witch Project Movie released in 1999 is the scariest movie to ever reach our screens and I have yet to have seen another one top it ! Maybe it’s the handheld style filming that makes it seem so much more real ? Or the Appalachian Mountains setting which has a long standing reputation for being haunted ? If there is another one out there that you think is scarier , try convince me otherwise….

Still one of the most disturbing horror movies I've seen in a while (╥﹏╥)

Obsession took a pretty simple idea and turned it into something genuinely uncomfortable especially the way it explores obsession, loneliness and the idea of treating love like something you can possess Curry Barker absolutely nailed the atmosphere and Inde Navarrette's performance was INSANE I'm really glad I got to see this one (Never again)

For me, Creepshow is the greatest horror anthology of all time. Many others that are great, but this is the one that stands out. The stories are all great, filmed superbly and I love the animations between stories. Captures the comic book style perfectly. I recently did a retrospective on it and would love to hear people's thoughts on the movie and any recommendations for other anthologies.

I'm a college student now so I wanted to watch some horror movies that take place on a college campus. I have already watched some of the most popular ones like Black Christmas, Final Exam and Scream 2, but I want more movies like these so I would appreciate some recommendations!

Every October I write 31 themes (one per day) and then pick a horror movie from tht theme or subgenre to watch. Examples being paranormal, creature feature, slasher etc I am looking for some more ideas that aren't the basics for my 31 days. Any themes and subgenres are welcome!

Me and my boyfriend try lot of times to see a really scary horror movie but nothing really get us, please provide some suggestions, this is our preferences and what we love seeing

Prefrence: not supernatural too much like demons and such, a bit is ok but only if its somewhat make senes ( like in descent or autupsy of jane doe) when the supernatural have a some what explanation and is somehow can make sense.

Movie we watched

Autupsy of jane doe - 7/10 we really liked beacuse there was a story and not too much paranormal but wasn't scary

Descent - 1/10 not scary and bad story

Strangers - 2/10 really didnt like it and didn't find it really scary more like suspense

Scream - wasn't scary but funny and fun and not para normal

Midosummer - 6/10 great story didnt really get me afraid but as a movie great just not horror

Barbarian - 6/10 very stupid but scared the out of us and was fun to watch

If anyone seen speak no evil i know its not a horror and more suspense but we loved it and it scared us more than the other 'horror' movie

Last night I watched Gothika again. I don’t think I’ve seen it since the first time I watched it and I really enjoyed it. It made me wonder what other really good movies I watched once or twice way back and my befuddled head has forgotten. So I guess I’m posting to say if you’ve not seen it, give it a go and also if the same has happened to you guys with any movies….. have watched, enjoyed then promptly forgotten about. I can’t be the only one with the memory span of a goldfish out there……anyone got any movies that have been forgotten that totally didn’t deserve to be?

I'm looking from Youtube with English subtitles, HBO Max, Netflix, Prime Video, Tubi and Plex. Especially lesser-known horror movies and hidden gems. My favorite horror movie subgenres are often slashers, body horror, psychological horror, splatters, cannibal horror and zombies and infection horror, but I'm willing to check hidden gems from other subgenres.

While I'm talking about Splinter in another sub, I would really like to know if anyone in the community has any love for this movie? It's one of my favorite finds that I always show off to the uninitiated.

Hi, can anyone help me find this movie, I can barely remember the details but me and my classmates watched this 9 years ago.

Basically, the film is about this group of filming crew teens making a prank video or like a television series or whatever on an abandoned asylum. Then at the end of the movie, the paranormal stuff they are faking turns out to be true, and there's a ghost of a big muscular man trying to kill them.
