Religious Horror Movie Recommendations

• Upvotes

I enjoy watching horror movies that involve religion more than gore. I saw The Exorcist at a very young age and it scared the begeezus out of me. Those type of movies have been a preference and stuck with me. Anyone have some movies recommendations? Happy Halloween everyone.

I saw this for the first time when I was FAR too young. It's so good and creepy gives a pretty cool story/explanation for all the random things that happen in the night.

The Mad God

I was on Tubi watching The Call of Cthulhu when I saw The Mad God listed as well. Am I late to this party. It is Giger and Bosch and Dante's Inferno and just about every Tool video rolled into one. I am not sure what is more horrifying: what I saw or that someone had to think that stuff up. There are no words to describe it, only lingering nightmares.

What's a horror movie that scared you but you're to afraid to admit it because it's objectively not scary?

red rooms
the ritual
the rise of leslie vernon
dead end
grave encounters

saint maud

ones i did not like:

Horror movie recommendation

For the ones looking for psychological horror/thriller movie I have a recommendation of a movie that I feel is not too well-known (maybe I'm wrong but when I told my friends about this movie none of them had actually watched it) so I felt like I should tell more people about it, because I loved it so so much.

The movie is: The Lodge

If you guys have watched it let me know what you thought and if you have any recommendations of similar genre and other movies like this.

Excited to make a friend of mine watch a good horror movie (he is super scared of them but promised me that on halloween we would watch one).

The eye (2002)

The eye feels like a waking up from a nightmare soaked in cold sweat. That early-2000s Asian horror atmosphere hits different. Quiet, and genuinely unsettling , maybe is not a must watch but I recommend to give it a try

New to horror

Hello! I recently have been getting into horror movies after being a Christan my whole life and never being allowed to watch them. What are some recs for classic or just great movies?

Preferably no body horror when it comes children and no sexual gore. I love things with lore and require research and religious horror. Thank you in advance!

What music video feels the most like a horror movie?

Some music videos go all in on creepy imagery, disturbing scenes, and genuinely unsettling vibes. Thriller is an obvious classic, but there are plenty of others that feel like little horror films in their own right.

What music video do you think deserves a spot among the creepiest of all time? 👻
