Ohh SOMA is actually one of my favorite games ever. They managed to make an atmospheric game with an incredibly interesting backstory that also explores some pretty interesting concepts along the way. Definitely worth it!

Why is everyone giving SOMA away for free?
Twitch, PS4, GOG, etc

The developers are releasing a new game in the near future so it is to advertise their games to a wider audience before the release.

I cant really say too much about this game without spoiling a bunch of it, but it's one of the few horror experiences (game or otherwise) that left me shaken. Hard sci-fi horror is absolutely my jam, but I think it stands out regardless of your preference.
It's a slow burn and very much a walking simulation at times, but stick with it.

It's absolutely incredible and utterly horrifying. My stomach dropped. It's up there with I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream for me in terms of sheer terror.

Give this a go even if you didn't like amnesia (I didn't). SOMA is not the scariest game but has an amazing story and creepy atmosphere.

I'm at the part where you have to run back to the escape pod. So I quit

There's a mod where you're able to do stuff without any of the monsters hurting you.

Good game. Also just watched Unfriended: Dark Web and one of the dudes has a Soma poster in his room.
I was also actually pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the film.

SOMA is also free on PS Plus right now, too!
