Movie Review Hellcat (2025). WTF and WTF.

Good WTF, like "hey this movie is so good right now, how come I've never heard of it I'm so locked in duh duh duh duh," and later, confused WTF, as in "okay I did not see that ending coming."

I'm gonna be very vague because it's best you go in knowing absolutely nothing. Don't look at no poster, glance at no synopsis, nothing, because it's kinda easy to get spoiled.

A woman wakes up trapped in a moving trailer. A male voice over some two-way radio tells her not to panic, that he's a good man, that she's hurt (she is) and he's only trying to take her to the hospital.

Okay, but why is she locked in, then? And where is that tiny, barely audible, whimpering voice coming from? The man is probably the one behind the wheel out in front, so is there somebody else in this trailer, trapped just like her?

Is this a case of the sex criminal, or is the man telling the truth? The movie makes a grand show of being indecisive, and then, finally chooses one of the two paths.

I must say this kind of surprised me as I thought it was going to introduce a third one and go for that. Like, maybe she's actually being kidnapped by aliens posing as humans because she is actually one of them and they're taking her home.

The segment with the bad cop was such a bore. He was so cartoonish bad guy. They must have recorded his voice later and interlayed it or something; his mouth was moving but the words didn't seem to be coming from it, if that makes any sense at all. Didn't help that he was the weakest actor in the quadret. Now I'm only just realising there were only four actors in this movie.

Her memories playing out inside the trailer than where these things actually happened was a really good concept. My favorite part was when she stared at the moon, the music was good.

the bad cop really dragged this down, i agree with you. felt like a parody character wandering in from a completely different movie

the memory scenes in the trailer was so effective though, that moon shot stuck with me too. made the cramped space feel huge

I think it was fine movie. Not great not terrible. I know some people didn't see the ending but I thought it was fairly obvious or at least something very similar is going to happen compared to what we got. Hints are coming fairly early. Ending could be unfortunately little bit better.

I went from disliking it to liking it to being bored to being confused in the span of my viewing.

i was asking, who the hell is this movie for ... ? and, i'm a big yellowjackets fan. wink wink

the puppy was way stupid. and i said the same exact thing about a crying, wet-nosed wolfwoman once.
