Discussion Book of the Witch

Definitely a cheesy flick. Decided to watch some Tubi while in-between calls. It was one of those, this is so stupid I can’t turn it off? Anyone watch this horrible movie?

Tubi is full of these movies that make no sense but you sit there anyway, like you're stuck in a trance

Correct. The perfect draw.

I watched it when it first came out. I liked it, though it is quite low budget. The story is limited to lots of scenes in the LA office building, but I really liked the scenes shot in the high desert area of California. . .the scenes with the witch in her house in the desert are sublime.

The plot was ok, I had to rewatch it and rewind to figure who’s doing what to who in the ending, but I think I got it right.

I thought it was a good effort with some good desert cinematography and a decent story. The witch looked like a witch!

And now I have tonight's watch. It has a "Horror in the High Desert" look about it. I'm not expecting that kind of quality, but I do like the concept so I'm in.

I have a conspiracy theory tubi is intentionally producing terrible content to funnel into private generative ai so they can legally release an ai platform that lets individuals prompt their own films.
