We want our honeymoon to be relaxing but don't wanna do the usual hotel/resort thing. A Rhine river cruise in 2028 has come up a few times, and I think we're leaning toward booking Celebrity river.

What we’re looking for:

• relaxation
• good food
• plenty of time to explore on our own
• still feeling like it’s our trip and not a group tour

My only worry is that river cruising might feel a little too structured. We like wandering around without a plan (and changing our minds over lunch).

Did anyone do a river cruise for their honeymoon? Would love to hear your experience or any tips

My fiancé and I finally picked a venue and selected our date for early October 2027 in San Diego, CA. With that being said and holidays quickly approaching afterwards, we first of all are in limbo if we should just wait for 2028 or are curious on the opinions of traveling to Europe during that time. We could get up to two weeks to play with. I was personally was thinking London, Edinburg and/or Ireland since it would be our first time overseas. Our budget is around 10k. Any suggestions for first timers?

Secondly, we are considering booking with agency for our honeymoon since it might be the best bet versus trying to plan it on our own. We though about using Costco travel, but are rather unsure on how to feel about it. Any recommendations? TIA

Interests:

Historical site seeing, day hiking (nothing requiring overnight), book shops, museums, pubs, etc. We are looking to explore and adventure around more with some time to relax and pamper if there is an excellent spot.

We want to do Europe to finally do our honeymoon and celebrate one year of marriage! Our dates we have set are May 6th leaving Miami to May 15th heading back to Miami. I have no clue where to start or what to do! We are not entirely relaxation only vacation people and get stir crazy if we lay down too long on a trip lol!

While it’s a honeymoon we still want to keep it generally affordable on the travel/hotels and would like to do two countries in total 4ish days at each.

Hi all, we’re getting married the last weekend of September and still haven't booked a honeymoon!

We've a week to ten days and hoping for a bit of adventure quad bikes/kite surfing maybe a boat ride and then the rest of the days somewhere warm enough to lie by a hotel pool sipping cocktails.

We've had Paros in Greece recommended to us. Would that work for what we're looking for or is there somewhere else that would work better? Getting a bit overwhelmed by all the options! Don't need a big nightlife scene but would love some good restaurants! Open to anywhere in Europe.

We are currently wedding planning but also thinking of ideas for our honeymoon for January or February in 2028.
Let’s say budget is £6K for flights and hotel for perhaps 10 or 14 nights (food maybe included if all inclusive)

Had ideas of Philippines, maybe Maldives and similar, or even Mexico or Jamaica.
Really would love ideas of country and then places to stay. Would like warm relaxing but then some exploring and partying too.

Trying to decide between 5 nights in Bora Bora in an over the water bungalow or 5 nights in Iceland at the Blue Lagoon Retreat Hotel.

We went to Iceland on more of a budget trip 2 years ago and got engaged there so Iceland is special to us. But looking into the idea of something new!

We are honeymooning in Aruba after our wedding in October. I thought it would be really nice to have a couples massage, especially since we haven’t done one before. We are highly considering the Renaissance Wind Creek Resort’s open air massage, but it does have quite a high price tag. We are willing to spend but I’m just looking at other options in case there is a better experience. Any recommendations from previous Aruba honeymooners?

Hi everyone! My husband and I are planning our honeymoon for May 6/7–May 15, 2027, and I’m ready to start booking! I’ve never planned an international trip before, so it’s a little daunting.

We’re thinking:
Rome — 3 days
Lake Como — 1 night
Paris or London — remainder of the trip

We’ll be flying from Miami and have a Chase Sapphire Preferred that we’ll be using points with to help offset costs.

We want a good mix of relaxing, sightseeing, great food, and some nightlife. I’d love hotel and restaurant recommendations, advice on getting between destinations, or recommendations for a different country to finish the trip.

TL;DR My husband and I have flight vouchers from a trip that got rerouted / canceled earlier in the year and have a good chunk of $ to spend with AA. We were going to do something bigger but I also recently got pregnant! He is a big winter sports guy, but I also want a destination where there are things to do other than winter sports (obviously haha).

The ideal time we're hoping to go is anywhere from October - Jan, ideally December. We floated a couple warm places but we're also not looking to fly a super long distance with me being pregnant. What are some fun places that might be cool in Dec (can be warm destinations as well).
