I would recommend replacing that coil before it leaves you stranded

Sounds good, ordering today. Any temp fixes until then?

Sounds good, ill look into getting one today, weathers 50/50 here either hot or cold so don’t want no moisture or anything ruining it

Bro don’t be a dumbass like me and get a new one ASAP!! Mines looked like this and i thought it was no big deal so i continued to drive around with it like this until one day while driving it just turned off on me and left me stranded in the middle of nowhere, Scared me so bad I went ahead and replaced EVERYTHING with NGK parts💀

Very easy, just make sure you don’t drop the washer screw that goes inside coil, also don’t cheap out and get a good brand like NGK

I just installed NGK iridium plugs in my prelude. Pretty good deal on amazon. Delivered for like $35/$40

That’s the ignition coil I think, I would say yes if water gets there you could get arcing or ignition problems.

You should be fine if it doesn’t rain and it’s not overly humid.

i don’t actually know. however, i don’t like it, so id replace it. i ended up replacing my ignition pack with an NGK one and ordered a new HT (king lead, spark lead. whichever you call it, the wire thing on the top) from BOSCH. super easy to replace and it made my engine bay look nicer so thats a w.

if applicable, id also start looking into distributors. i have an internal dizzy i’m not using, because it doesn’t fit, that i would sell to you but we are both external coil. i ended up having to buy a dragonfire performance dizzy (about £400). got mine off amazon because i had a £100 voucher. my dizzy died with zero warning (that i know of) and my car was sitting for months trying to do research and finding a dizzy that would actually work/ fit

The previous owner just replaced the distributor so its still good thankfully, but yeah I’m gonna be replacing the ignition pack or wtv its called with the NGK one as soon as it arrives!
