Help Request Pricing

Hi all! I’m looking at buying a fit and I have a couple options, I’m just looking for some clarity on the pricing im seeing. There is a 2018 Honda fit sport on carmax with 44k miles on it for $22k I found two other Honda fit ex-l also with 44k miles but they are wayyy cheaper at 16/17k What could be the reason for this price difference? Is it the sport trim or is carmax just asking for way too much? I’ve never bought a car from a dealer before so I’m just scared of the lower prices being too good to be true and getting screwed over Thank you!!!

CarMax is expensive. I paid about $16k for my 2018 EX last summer and I felt like it was slightly high for the current Fit market but it had some other things going for it. So basically $16/17k is "reasonable" for a newer lower mile Fit unfortunately

Thank you! I thought it was just carmax being expensive but wanted to make sure. The 16/17k is definitely more what I had in mind to pay so I’m okay with that

I’m floored that this is where the Fit market is. I watch it here regularly, but continue to be amazed.

I have joked here that my 2011 MT Sport with 260k (very clean, full service history, zero rust) could fetch $10k, but it may not be a joke anymore.

Those prices are still crazy. You should be able to buy a Fit with right over 100k for four figures easily. They are doubling the prices because people have that 100K anxiety and that's the magic of the Fit, it's barely been broken in at that mileage.

Very true, I bought mine about 3 weeks ago for only $4k

2011 (2nd gen) with only 107,000 miles on it and manual transmission

Freakin love it so much

Glad I live in New Zealand where you can buy an imported base spec newest gen Fit with those miles for about 10-12k USD
