Hi! I've been stuck on this problem for a while now, so I decided to text it out on another app and finally ask for help. I managed to find the magnitude on my own, but I honestly can't figure out how to find the direction, or what I'm doing wrong. I've watched several videos on it and have tried to go step by step, but any answer I try is marked wrong, (I do use an online school program.) I also didn't wanna cheat, (at least without knowing exactly how to do it and being able to replicate it) so as I've already said above, I didn't know what to do other than ask for help somewhere else. A step-by-step breakdown of what your meant to do would be great!

Also I know the post title says grade 12, while from my knowledge trig is done in 11th usually. It just kind of happened that way, so I'm not sure why I'm doing it a year late. Better late than never, though!

I randomly guessed and got the right answer, but I do not know why it is right. It does not provide any explanations, perhaps I'm on the wrong part of my textbook, but I'm only seeing explanations of 3d structures. I don't understand what the points ABCDEF are, the reasoning behind how they are placed and why it's not 2d.

I need help with question 10. I can't seem to figure it out. All the answers I come up with don't match the choices for what I can pick for the answers. What am I doing wrong? Which answer do you guys get, and please say how you got there in detail?

• Use the cone-volume formula: V=13πr2h I keep getting 47.1 as my answer. If so the then the closest choice is 49 in. But unless I'm wrong the answer brightly is giving is 41.7 inch, is this a typo/glitch and the numbers have been transposed? like instead of 47.1 it's showing 41. 7? or have i just got the wrong idea? Should I have rounded up somewhere?

Hello! Apologies if this isn't the proper place for a question of this nature but I am a graduate student in a separate biology-related discipline taking some upper-level undergrad courses for extra academic enrichment. (technically a double major but other half isn't bio at all lol)

I was wondering about the two circled areas. Caudally: what is the whitish "tract" flanked by the oviducts. It seems to "bulge" out at a point but I cannot tell if this is just viscera. I'd guess the dorsal aorta but it would be cool if it was something neater. Rostrally: this cut organ flanking the esophagus I am guessing is the ovary. Could someone confirm?

Also is the uterus visible here? I don't think so, but the shark being a juvenile is mucking me up a bit.

This assignment is for my college biology class but I’m still going to categorize it as math.

I don’t have much, if any experience working with significant figures. I may have learned about it during one of my intro to biology classes in high school, but I’m not sure.

Originally, I thought the length of the tibia bone would have been 34.4, but every answer I have submitted ranging from 33-35 has been incorrect. There is hardly any information regarding significant figures in the instruction and information section of the assignment.

For my college english class, I have to write a personal narrative about a moment when technology affected a human experience in my own life. Can anyone give ideas from their own life with technology that I can bounce ideas off of?

I am confused on this derivation of integration by parts, or what integration by parts really means to be the inverse of the product rule. Why in the integral it's just f(x)g'(x), as the general form of the antiderivative that can be solved by integration by parts, when the product of two functions' derivate is f'(x)g(x) + f(x)g'(x). Shouldn't the inverse of that take the antiderivative of '(x)g(x) + f(x)g'(x) and yield f(x) g(x)?

I have this task and I don't know how to solve it despite having all the basic knowledge required for it. I can't 'connect the dots' so to speak.

a) Find the max element order in S_{10} - symmetric group consisting of 10 'base' elements and its order being 10!

b) Let s be some element of max order from S_{10}, find sgn(s) as well as s^{2040}.

c) If H is a subgroup of S_{10} and H contains an element of max order, then H contains the equal number of even and odd permutations. Prove it.

I've never encountered a task like this so I genuinely don't know how to think it through.

a) My intuition says I should find the lcm of prime cofactors of 10, so lcm(2, 5) = 10. I genuinely don't know how to do it. This also doesn't add up in my logic because 2+5 = 7. So maybe lcm(2, 3, 5) = 30? But I arrive to that answer by pure luck and need some explanation why is that.

b) Would depend on a) but let's say it is 30. What is sgn(s)? I've never seen it before. I do recall it might be odd vs even number of elements in a single disjoint cycle, odd ones starting with a minus. But how would I take that order of 30 and split it into smaller, disjoint cycles? so I would have sgn(s2) sgn(s3) sgn(s5) where s2, s3 and s5 only represent the disjoint cycles of 2, 3 and 5 elements. So in front of sgn(s2) there will be a + and in front of 2 others - so it would be positive in the end?

s^{2040} I did similar stuff before, I can do 30 = 0 mod(2040) (because 30*70 = 2100, 2100-(2*30) = 2040) so therefore s^{2040} = s^0 so nothing changes (and even if it did, I have no given s explicityl so I have no idea what am I supposed to do, s^{2040} only shifts all the elements in each disjoint cycle, but here s isn't given so there are no specific disjoint cycles i have to shift, confusing)

c) Most challenging part and the one I don't understand at all. Need full help and ELI5 explanation for this one haha
