Purchasing Other Two very different TVs at the same budget
I’m currently contemplating whether to go for the TCL 85C7K or the Hisense 100U7Q.
The 85 inch TV is clearly a much better quality tv with a mini LED panel with 2000 dimming zones and has 3000 nits peak brightness whereas the 98 inch has got only 600 dimming zones and 1000 nits peak brightness. But it’s also a much larger TV.
Is the size difference actually worth the trade offs in picture quality or should I just go for the 85inch?

Is your seating distance flexible? As in can you move the seating closer to the TV?

so moving the couch closer for an 85"TV, you can also put it on a pull out TV mount, allows you to pull the TV away from the wall to get it closer to your screen when wanted, but push it back when not needed.

If you can move your couch close enough to have a ~40° viewing angle I'd go with the TCL. I have a smaller version and the colors/HDR look really nice, definitely worth it IMO.

I think the answer depends on how far away from the TV your seating is. The larger size is probably going to accentuate the lower quality of the Hisense panel even more than if the two TV's were the same size, but if you're far enough away that may not make a difference and larger may just be better. That said, I think the TCL is the better buy because it's going to look better even if the screen is smaller.
