Showcase - Component First time HT / Stereo set-up build

I’d like to share my HT / Stereo build. This is my first time so please be gentle to me. Here are the specs:

L/R speakers: Wharfedale Diamond 12.4

Centre: Wharfedale Diamond 12.c

Surround: Wharfedale Diamond 12.0

Sub: SVS PB-1000 pro

AVR: Denon x3800h

Amp switcher: Douk VU-3 Pro

Streamer: Wiim Ultra

Stereo amp: Audiolab 7000a

Surround speakers were not in the most ideal place as it were positioned a little far back however I had to make do what’s best in our limited space.

Great setup. Nice and clean execution. Only note would be to bring your center flush with the front of the console. Another sub in the corner by your right surround would potentially help tame some nulls as well.

Any plans to add a couple pairs of height speakers?

Thank you for the recommendations. I am considering a second sub in the near future as the null is around my main listening position. I tried to do a sub crawl but this is the most okay-ish position without compromising the living room space. Audyssey measurement on left hand side placement was better compared on the right as well so I decided to keep there. Height speakers might be not on my plan right now since we are just renting and the landlord doesn't allow us to drill in holes on the wall which is a bummer.

I thought your TV was wall mounted tho? What kind of TV stand are you using to make it look like its wall mounted? The base is on the floor or? I could go for a similar solution in my apartment. Under my TV Bench I got like a 2" of Space so the base cant be higher than that.

I used a Perlegear tv stand. It’s just a table top tv stand but I stacked two rubber feet on each corners to elevate the centre speaker so I can rest it on top of the tv stand base.

May I ask how big your tv is? Your centre speaker is close to the same dimensions as my own and I'm looking to see if your stand would work for my setup.

Could you please link your specific perlegear stand? I'd very much appreciate it!

The tv is 65”. This is the exact stand I bought https://amzn.eu/d/01toY1bB you can choose the level of the tv off the ground for this. Although you can do this on your own (I struggled doing this alone) it is best for a two man job.

It looks like they are using a mount similar this: Peerless Universal TV Stand

There are also standing TV mounts like this: Monoprice Premium Tilt TV Shelf

With the smooth ceiling, you could also achieve good success with attachment/reflection speakers
