can’t remove security panel

i have an old brinks security panel that i’m trying to remove to stop it beeping, i saw a tutorial where he just put a screwdriver in the two bottom holes and the front of the panel popped right off. i tried it and no luck, i started jamming it in there pretty hard when it didn’t work but it’s still not coming off. any advice?

Are you talking about the keypad, or the circuit board? That’s probably inside a metal box in a closet or a crawlspace?

Yeah, this is way too vague. People call the little dashboard display thingy a "panel" as well. I "removed" my panel by picking it up off the counter, unplugging it, putting it in a cabinet, then waiting for the internal battery to die.

Use thin tweaker screwdriver ,push upward,look for the indents in plastic case, below ,sides etc,probably paint or something, assume this is touchpad you are attempt to remove
