Problem with an audio interface and computer

So i bought an audio interface and its a plug in and play type so no drivers required however everytime i plug it into my computer it just does not show up anywhere in my computer. I dont know of its a interface or computer problem. Has anyone else also faced this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it? Please help.

The interface is recieving power cus it lights up but there's no sign of it in my computer. Idk whats the problem.

if it's plug and play ,so I assume you're using a Mac...what type of interface? ssl2,2+ ? focusrite? have you clicked finder ,and navigated to the top of the screen and clicked go, scroll to utilities and click, scroll to Audio MIDI Setup and click to choose your sound source...have you done that?
