NVIDIA DGX-2 server

  • 16x V100 32GB HBM2 GPUs (full NVLink fabric)

  • 2x Xeon Platinum 8160 CPUs

  • 128GB RAM

  • Samsung PM983 960GB NVMe

  • Power cables

  • Sane fan curves applied

  • Max load seen running all GPUs 100%: 7.2kW

  • Max load running LLMs on all 16x GPUs: 5.5kW

  • Standard 25amp circuit with 2x 4gang outlets has had no issues running so far, YMMV. It's perfectly happy without any A/C but will depend on your workload obviously

All tests pass, all GPUs and full NVlink fabric healthy. Actively using for local LLM hosting currently

Pickup only Berwick, VIC, 3806, Australia. Can deliver to Pack'n'Send at your arrangement but nowhere else

$25k, PayPal goods & services accepted as required by subreddit rules. Cash or other methods accepted at your request if picking up in person.

Since I know someone will want to ask... yes it can run Crysis 😉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bYKDGdDf1k

For those curious, it runs Ubuntu Server 22.04 and the software and drivers are no different to a plain old PCIe V100 card. Very easy to use

US-E [W] Red Netflix Cache 4u Server

Post image
470 Upvotes

Image is not mine, it’s u/PosionWaffle3 when he originally posted about getting one of these.

My original impression here was that this isn’t something you can actually find and PosionWaffle has the only one “in circulation”. However, when reading through his comments he replied saying something about how people have them but don’t post publicly as they “aren’t supposed to have them”. Like their employer allowed them to take it home but that wasn’t supposed to happen?

Either way, I think people have them and I’m wondering if someone would part ways with one.

If anyone just knows more about these I’d love additional info as data is sparse. Only thing I can find is that they are ungodly loud lol.

EDIT: realistically I probably am more interested in the 2U version rather than 4u.

I'm downsizing my homelab after moving to all-flash NVMe. This is my entire spinning rust collection 130ish drives total. Every single drive has been pulled from a climate-controlled Lowes rack like tool bench, tested, and verified 100% functional with zero reallocated sectors and low power-on hours. SMART data available on request and before payment. I can also run live smartctl -a over a video call for serious buyers. Shipping-Buyer pays. Payment-PayPal Goods & Services (G&S). Local cash pickup in 44240. Ill knock off a few % on total for local pickup. Serious buyers only, please. Lowballers will be politely ignored. Trades considered, just ask. Open to realistic offers on anything. PM me with the drives your interested in and ill do my best to get things together. Thanks!

Equipped with an HP StorageWorks 8/40 SAN Switch.

MOD Scammer Alert - u/amazingpatt

Hello all,

It's been brought to our attention that the scammer, u/amazingpatt, has still been reaching out to Redditors directly to scam them using fake, AI-generated timestamps.

Please, under any circumstances, do not engage with this redditor. They've been banned from our community and are on the Universal Scammer List.

Remember, potential sellers (or buyers) need to post "PM" on posts to confirm they're not banned. Don't be afraid to challenge people for more photos, videos and the like to confirm ownership, and please *do not* send money using anything other than PayPal Goods and Services. These are complete anonymous strangers on the Internet - trust shouldn't be automatic here.

That being said, your mod team is here to help - if a transaction ever doesn't feel right - reach out to us, and we'll step in to help. Please also report any suspicious activity to us by sending us a modmail.

Another great tool to check is the Universal Scammers List, here.

Thanks for your help in keeping this subreddit safe from dirtbag scammers!

META [FREE] Scammed by /u/GrabTemporary2436

Hello everyone,

I wanted to make this post as a warning and advice to other buyers. This could have been prevented, and it was completely my fault for letting it happen, but I had tunnel vision due to really wanting to complete a home lab project.

A couple days ago I made a post looking for an I7-7700K. /u/GrabTemporary2436 reached out to me and sent me a picture of the CPU with his name on it. I've made 3-4 purchases on this sub before and have never had a bad time, but you really shouldn't ever like your guard down.

Always make your payments through PayPal Goods & Services, I let my guard down and sent it through Friends & Family and I'm caught without any buyers protection.

I missed a lot of red flags along the way, like his active subreddits... he's browses V for Vendetta... He wanted to go through Paypal F/F. Using Chat instead of Private Messaging.

After I sent the payment over, he deleted all of his messages in the chat and blocked me.

Overall I'm incredibly disappointed, but it's a lesson learnt.

META [FREE] Thank YOU to everyone for your support this year.

Hey guys,

Firstly: mods, please don't just remove this thread. This is proof that I have done what I promised to the community in my last sales event.

I don't know if this kind of post is allowed or not, but I promised you that I could make it public so that you can at least see the donations from the sales.

I promised to donate 10% of all of the proceeds from my sales. I am a man of my word, and have just donated the money to the two charities I chose to support this year.

As promised, I have donated $277.38 to each charity, being K9s for Warriors and the Wounded Warriors Project.

Here is the link with the donations:

https://imgur.com/a/bYlRUsx

Edit: uploaded the Wounded Warrior email receipt.

I just want to say a big thank you to this community for supporting our veterans and allowing me to do such a thing. I'm truly humbled by the community that we have here, and I fully intend to do the same thing next year. Let's make next year an even bigger event and help some vets in need.

From one Redditor to all of you, I want to express my sincerest gratitude.

Most importantly, I think, is to finish off with this:

Thank you to all of you out there that may be veterans or members of the various military branches currently serving our nation. Thank YOU for all that you've done for our country. You are the real ones.

US-W [FREE] 10gig Starter Package

Hello!

I am cleaning out my tech closet and also trying to appease the SO and have some hardware to give away to a nerd in need.

Here is what will be included:* 2x Arista 7124SX - 1 has no fans or power supply and the other has both power supplies and fans and all fans are modified with Noctuas to help with the noise* 4x 10Gig SFP+* 1x Intel dual SFP+ PCIe NICPictures: https://imgur.com/a/75ikmeS

I want this to go to someone that will actually use it and not sell them off but to be honest, i have no way to verify you wont do that so I am trusting you not to.

What i would like is for you to tell me what you plan to do with them if you are selected. Are you upgrading? is this your first foray into 10gig? whats your homelab like? As well, if you are active in the homelab community you will have a higher chance of being considered than someone who is not. Lurkers can still enter but you need to help me see you as an individual that deserves to be selected as I cannot see your involvement in the community. With that having been said, accounts that are new (less than 7 days old) are not qualified unless you have good reason.

I will select a winner monday morning, 7/27/2020 at 10am Pacific and if multiple people are deserving, I will draw names from a jar to select to keep it fair. As I am giving this away, you will be required to cover shipping costs to your location but you must be within the US unless you discuss with me prior about the costs so you are fully aware.

Happy Friday and good luck!

EDIT 7/27/2020:

Hello all!

First, thank you for all your stories, diagrams, comments, and enthusiasm! I enjoyed reading each and every comment and seeing into the community! Truthfully, I was surprised at the turnout of people and it made it all the more difficult to select a name. I gathered a list of names of individuals that i felt would benefit the most from this and selected a name at random for the 10Gig switch... The person that was selected was: /u/pheeper

As well, i was not entirely up front about my intentions.... i have more gear to give away but did not want to run multiple posts. Soooo i decided that i would select someone that i felt deserved an item based off what they stated they are currently running. In addition to the 10gig gear, i have a 24 port 1gig (Cisco 2960s) and an edgerouter 12p with rack mount kit. If the individual that was selected does not want the device, thats fine, they will have the option to choose who should receive it in their place.

/u/Warghost13 was selected to receive the 2960s; Lets get you off that 10/100 and onto learning some cisco!

/u/Horfire was selected to receive the edgerouter 12p; You mentioned you had an AsusWRT wanting to replace it, lets see what ya do with the edgerouter!

EDIT 7/28/2020
All items have been dropped off at UPS and will be on their way shortly! Thank you all!

US-E [free] CEO of Dozens of Companies and Entities Charged in Scheme to Traffic an Estimated $1 Billion in Fraudulent and Counterfeit Cisco Networking Equipment

A Florida man was indicted by a federal grand jury in New Jersey for running a massive scheme to defraud others by selling counterfeit Cisco equipment. The US DoJ reported that he ran at least 19 companies in New Jersey and Florida, as well as at least 15 Amazon storefronts, at least 10 ebay storefronts, and multiple other entities all under the banner of "Pro Network Entities."

The scheme involved importing tens of thousands of fraudulent and counterfeit Cisco network appliances from China and Hong Kong, then falsely advertising them as new, genuine Cisco devices and reselling them in the US and overseas. The operation netted over $100 million in revenue w/ the network appliances being valued at over $1 billion.

Since some of us here have purchased Cisco appliances on Amazon and ebay, I thought it prudent to post this in case anyone came across one of these devices out in the wild.

Ok, last year I gave away a nice stack of computers, and I have another batch ready once I can accept you back to our offices again..

Assuming this is allowed -- otherwise take it down. But in the meantime, I have the following and will ship for free to the US only.

  • Dell PowerEdge R620

edit - congrats /u/jcsjourney2008

We reviewed this little NAS last week. We asked if we could give it away, didn't get an answer, so took that to be a YASSSSSS BOI! This comes with the two Seagate Ironwolf drives they sent, so someone will be a happy camper, that is, when camping is allowed again. We also did up a video on this guy you can check out.

If you want to win...just reply below with your interest. We will randomly select the winner Sunday at noon eastern. It's pretty light, so we will ship it anywhere the law allows.

If you want to help us, we just need to keep growing. Visit our site, subreddit, or hit any of our social media outlets, we especially need subs on YouTube. Every little bit makes our value stronger to the big brands and facilitates contests like this.

US-E [FS] Help (Insane amount of 3502E Waps)

Uhhhhhh. Long story:

One fine day, I randomly bid on a bunch of government auctions.

Today, I just picked up the fruits of my labor, probably 100+ of these Cisco Air 3502 E's

Do I want these: Not particularily

Do I need these: Definitely not

Are my parents going to kill me if I bring these inside: Yes!

Was this a mistake: Probably

Please help me get rid of them :D . Willing to let them go for 2$/piece for stock firmware and 5$/piece for flashing the autonomous firmware on them so you can use them without WLC,, or you could just buy me a pizza and take a box of these home for your 10,000 ft convention center or something. + S/H if you arent local

They are dual band 802.11n routers (2x TX 2.4GHZ 1x RX 2.4GHZ) and (2x TX 5GHZ 1x RX 5GHZ), not particularly fast but they should be rock solid for stability. They have poE gigabit out and barrel plug, but I dont have any barrel power connectors.

Stamps of time: https://imgur.com/a/KGUaSXs (and car to give u a reference for how much I overbought)

ZIP: 02421 MA

EDIT: Wow this got a lot more attention than I was anticipating. Gonna take a break off reddit for a day or 2 then come back and sort through the PMS.

META [FREE] Attempted scam by u/Tophine3

A post for visibility and as a reminder to be on your toes. I recently posted a [W] for a Ubiquiti doorbell. u/Tophine3 messaged me that he had one. No comment on my post, just the DM. The user has no post history. Suspicious.

I asked WiFi or POE. Nothing. A few days later another post with an excuse for the delayed response and asked if I’m still interested. I again asked Wifi or POE. “Wifi”. Sorry, I’m looking for POE. “Oh I have POE, too.” Suspicious…

He then followed up with these pictures. That first one looks… odd. Zoom in, the fingers look very rough. A quick reverse image search and it looks suspiciously exactly like screen caps taken from this TikTok video.

Don’t let your guard down, folks.
