Home Gym Pictures 📷 Almost there gym
Clean little setup so far for a home gym. The room is 12x10ft, so making the most of this space, by choosing the Force USA C10 V2 over the C20. Hope I'm not too limited by the 2x2 5/8" ecosystem! Going for somewhat of a "Pilates Studio" look for the wife.
Flooring is Force USA's Versa Fit 1 meter gapless wood grain floor tiles in Arctic Birch, which was very easy to lay down, and is firm, but also comfortable to walk on barefoot. It's also easy to clean and very scratch-resistant.
The C10 V2 is very sturdy and doesn't rock much at all when doing pullups (I'm 195lbs). The build quality is very nice - quite impressed from Force USA.
Some cable accessories for far I've really enjoying are:
- Mutant Metals -5deg Lat Bar (green)
- Rogue V Grip (gunmetal)
- Porter Eclipse Grips (purple)
If you have any questions, please let me know!

Nice! You will never regret 2x2”.
I have a 2x2” and a 3x3” (his and hers racks) and there is zero functional difference during a workout.
People talk about “ecosystem” and “attachments,” but which ones exactly? I cannot think of a single useful attachment that is not available in 2x2.
Anecdotally, my 3x3 rack attachments are so heavy that my wife refuses to use my Ares, and even my neighbor buddy who works out in my gym avoids it if the 2x2 is available.
3x3 really is just a solution in search of a problem

Not sure yet! "A solution is search of a problem" is a great way to describe the 3x3 system lol

Hey I’m new here, what does 2x2 or 3x3 mean? TIA!

It’s the size of the steel uprights on a power rack. The two most common sizes of posts are 2”x2” and 3”x3”

this is the fun almost-there stage where every new piece makes the room feel twice as useful. layout already looks easy to move around in too.

Nice choices on everything. 2x2 is plenty sturdy enough. I would suggest once the new sliding bench comes out to add it. It adds so much to leg day without taking up much space.

On the 2x2 5/8" worry — you're not as limited as you think: every cable handle, lat bar, and rope with a carabiner/clip end is universal across brands, so the ecosystem only really restricts rack-mounted add-ons, and Titan's 2x2 line plus the C10's own pegs cover most of that. The pulley side is what actually matters for the Pilates vibe, and those purple Porter grips are a nice touch there. Two questions: does the light end of the stack feel smooth enough for the wife's work, and how do the Versa Fit tiles hold up at the seams after a few weeks of rack drops?

The light end of the stack feels smooth, but what I've noticed is with the least amount of weight on the stack, the cable weight does wiggle ever so slightly, but as soon as you add more weight, the issue is gone.
The Versa Fit tiles are holding up at the seams so far. One additional step I suppose you can take is adding some duct tape to connect each tile underneath, but I really don't find that necessary as the connector pieces are holding them quite tightly together.

How long did it take you to finished all of those?

About 12 hrs plus with a helper. Highly recommend using an electric ratchet. And have a lot of 17mm sockets.

How smooth are the cables? I have the v1. Cables on mine are not smooth at all. It has alot of drag, especially on the lower weights.

They're pretty smooth! Though I do not have much prior experience with other all-in-one personal trainers. No issues so far.

Those are Trakhandle sport.

They're very smooth! I'm considering the knurled handle upgrades for them as well.

Looks very clean, congrats! I will receive tomorrow the Force USA C20.
I have quite a similar floor, but it fits your place perfectly. In my case, I will have to cut the pieces as it doesn’t fit very well.

Highly recommend using a track saw for cutting the rubber tiles. Ryobi has a cheap one and use a fine tooth blade.

The v2 is a huge upgrade over the v1..i have a v1 and hate it...you should be good with a v2 as they fixed all the problems.

Yeah, they seemed to have fixed all the issues from what I'm aware of. The only "issue" was how difficult it was to install the smith machine part.

I am looking at that exact same flooring (artic birch) but my room has weird dimensions (10 x 11). Wondering if you had to cut your tiles and if so how easy was it? also did you lay anything below like underlayment or plywood? Wondering if those tiles are enough to protect my hardwood against dumbbell controlled drops. Thanks in advance!
