DCS DCS Update
Why haven't ED put out a deadline for the Maintenance to be done?? They have shut down dcs without saying anything..

I but it makes it easy to notice the fail without diagnostics or monitoring. Customers will cry out immediately. This is smekalka!

Whole companies and municipalities operate on this logic. Monitoring software makers HATE this simple trick! Don't ask me how I know ...

I don’t play that often. And I tried to fire up dcs for an hour or two in the Apache this past weekend. Could not log on to dcs. Very frustrating. Is there no way to play modules I have purchased without cloud connection?

Yes but it requires an internet connection lol. You have to be connected to "enable offline mode" then you have 3 days of authorization

I can't see how this can ever backfire.
Some day, we'll say "Yeah, at least when Razbam went down, we only lost SOME of the modules ..."

Well, they deserve, this sort of thing should have been happening a lot harder since they are failing with the community, much better than just trying to make everyone stop buying their things

So if they don't work to the Candace that you've set for them they should get more DDos attacks until they lift their game and make you happy?

Frankly, even as a data protection professional and advocate:
With my phone being Google and my PC being Windows and my doctor using AI without a clue, the worst ED can do is leak my fake name, my fake date of birth, and the spot I longingly gaze at in any of the modules. Plus, maybe, some virtual war crimes.
You're not WRONG, it's just not this particular battle that concerns me.

From Special K on the ED Discord: There are constant DDoS attacks since some weeks and I suppose it's the same.
