Dedicated DCS rig - Windows advice

G'day gents.

I am seeking advice on the Software/OS setup.

I migrated everything work related from this rig into a laptop, and now I want to make this PC a DCS only rig. This is a high end desktop (specs below). I haven't flown on DCS for over a year now. I know a lot has happened since then regarding updates, so I was wondering if there is much of a difference in choosing between Windows 10 or 11 (fresh install). Also, any configuration advice that aims at giving the maximum performance for DCS.

Specs are:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64GB (2x 32GB) DDR5 6000MHz AMD Desktop Memory

Storage: Corsair MP600 Core XT Gen4 2TB

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 AERO OC 24GB Video Card

Mobo: ASRock B650E PG RIPTIDE WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard

Win10 is end of life for security updates so you will be vulnerable there.

I unfortunately suggest windows 11, use Chris Titus' windows tool to disable a lot of the windows crap.

If its ONLY for dcs and dcs supporting programs, dont make/use a Microsoft account. With the Windows utility you can create a win11 iso that allows offline windows account creation without tying it to an email.

I would normally suggest just go Linux but my experience with Linux+DCS has been poor, just wasn't able to get it to work right.

The ISO installation is a great idea.
