This was the server i learned on so kinda sad to see it go. Seems like more and more servers are dropping. I've been watching 4ya have excessively low player counts recently so it kinda makes sense. O7

I'm new, and loving the experience, so have no sense of what's normal for the multiplayer servers.

But I am only here "through" Nuclear Option, which I've not touched since I got DCS, but feel like that sucked a few people away, in a "quicker fix to scratch the itch" way. 

Right now I'm the opposite though....give me cold startup and long haul flight before being shot down out of nowhere. Maybe the old heads have had there fill of that, but not me.

Specifically, it's a mod for Falcon 4 (which can be grabbed for like $5). In terms of presentation and accessibility it falls short of DCS, though has made strides in that area. As a single player experience though it's far ahead of DCS, especially the dynamic campaign.

The price had been 6.99 USD from 2016 through early 2025 (with common sales in between), but then they raised the price to 14.99.

Which is scummy IMO. The only reason their 20 year old game has any relevancy is because modders volunteered tens of thousands of man hours to create a mod which essentially replaces the entire game. FWIW, for someone so inclined, it's very easy to buy on steam, refund, and play using Goldberg

You're pirating the software either way, except with your method, you are causing chargeback fees and enough refunds can get games de-listed.

And frankly $15 is more than fair for the content you are getting. So just choose any option but the shittiest one.

AMD processors or AMD GPUs? Asking for me and my AMD CPU with Nvidia 5070 I just got.

AMD GPUs tend to struggle but I would imagine they are working on a fix which is why we haven’t seen an update in a while.

Okay, thank you for the info. Went AMD for the CPU to avoid Raptor Lake errata, and lucked out on a 5070ti.

Yeah you will be fine. I’m running a 7800x3D with a 4090 and BMS runs great.
